Can someone update me on the Gibbs vs Kingston game?

This happened at the Cookeville tournament this past weekend and the umps did count the run (no argument or appeal was made). It seems like just when I think I know all the rules, a situation always arises that reassures me I will NEVER know all the rules!

Situation: 1 out, runners on 1st and 3rd, Fly ball to left field. Fly ball caught for out 2, runner on 3rd tags and crosses the plate. Runner on first may have been stealing and is rounding second as the fly ball is caught. The throw from the cut off beats the runner back to first for out 3. Does the run still count?

October is by far our driest month, followed closely by september and november.

Yeah, weekend tournaments would interfere with football and that would be a con. I think a pro would be that the girls coming straight from summer ball would be ready to go right away and the competition may be better. Another pro is booster club income. I think attendance would be greater in the fall and fund raising tournaments would be less likely to get rained out.

We have had 3 straight tournaments rained out and we have more games to make up than we have played. It seems to be this way every year. The weather is so much better for softball in the fall. I say switch softball and volleyball. Does anyone have any pros and cons?

We now have 8 game openings that could be added to our schedule. The sad part is we have only got to play 5 games so far.
