  1. Richland beat C.A. 7-3 last night. Richland hit 4 homeruns. Pitcher on Monday was awesome for C.A.
  2. Meeting again tonight at Cornersville. Should be another great matchup. Richland coming off a big win at Summertown whereas Cornersville cruised with Collinwood. Tell me what you think?
  3. I usually do not chime in, however, it must be known that we do not recruit travel ball coaches or players at Richland. Our two coaches are parents of travel ball players that were good enough to coach for nothing, that's right, no amount of money. And yes, we both have some good fans and some bad fans and be proud that we have two great teams in one little district.
  4. Richland beat Culleoka in both games.
  5. Our school has played both teams and I knew that Cornersville bats would be lethal, against almost any pitching! We held them down for a few innings and then it is like the earlier person said "ka pow". Personnally, I knew Summertown would not know what hit them! Great pitching, great hitting (all thru the line up) and good defense. Sounds like a spot in Murfreesoboro to me. I bet to say they'll give FCA a run......
  6. Well, we have alot of young girls except our catcher that hit the two homeruns and our third baseman. We lost 8 seniors last year. The girls are having fun and getting along. That makes for a good season thus far.
  7. OK - It was my kid that was the runner for Richland. Here was my take! My first gut reaction when she came off the field was to tell her that she "should have slid". She has played travel ball since she was 7 yrs. old and she knows better. She's received alot of flack for not sliding from our travel ball family. Here was her take: She said that it happened so fast that she was just trying not to knock the catcher down. She said she didn't remember if the ball got there first or not, just that she felt as though she wasn't going to be able to get to the plate because the catcher was in the way and she didn't want to run over her, nor did she think sliding would help. After talking with her, I do believe she slowed down. Regardless, she still got her behind chewed for not sliding.
