Sorry. Sent too soon. What time is game time tonight Sey vs Sev. ? Saw in Mtn Press that Sevierville is on 8 game winning streak with only 1 loss to SD. They lost championship game of Nike Classic in Oak Ridge to Powell. Thats 2 losses. Bad reporting by Mtn Press I guess. Good luck tonite.

Well.... I cant blame them based on what I saw from GP High School. They are very talented but imagine them without the 2 outsiders ! No whining, get who you can when you can and how you can and run with it ! Our poor team got beat by PF but we do have some good players and think we will win some games this year. Just not sure who we have that can score ! Looks like PF has another "Army" on their bench but always remember, seniority rules there. A long year for them as well with AE, GP, Carter, and Fulton. OUCH !! How will GP be after this season with the twin towers graduating or do they have more on the way ? I think the Schmidt kid can play also, so be watching out for him. How in the world did this post of top sophmore players in Northeast TN get all the way into Sevier County ? Somebody needs to look at a map !

Looks like a very good matchup on Monday at CAK with Pigeon Forge vs. CAK. I would think it would be Gallihugh vs. Howell on the mound. Both well coached teams for sure. Any thoughts ??

I agree they need to have time to prove themselves for sure. As we all know, freshman hitters verses senior experienced pitching is not a very fair matchup. I watched PF in the play day at Seymour and these 2 players have talent but time will tell based on their work ethic for the next few years. I do believe Coach Gwen will push them very hard to continue to improve. As for now, Gibbs is far more experienced and anything short of the State Tourney based on returning players and excellent coaching would be a disappointment. However, Coach Gwen will have PF prepared so should be a very good series. I do believe the pitching matchups are even but Gibbs should have the advantage with the bats and defense with a Senior based team. Good luck and wish I could be there to watch ! Go Eagles !

I agree with Big advantage Gibbs ! On paper, Gibbs should walk the dog in their district with that many returning starters for sure. Both teams are very well coached so I'm sure they will be ready to play. Gibbs should have much more depth as well being about twice the student size as PF. We played PF in the "Play Day" games and faced one of the freshman (Big kid) and he threw very well against Newport for us. The inexperience hurt them in the outfield so they have work to do. Also scrimmaged Gibbs and we faced Willis and others and won 6-0. I think hitting will be the big question for Gibbs but their pitching will be excellent with Willis and Bates. PF has 2 strong pitchers and some young tallent ( 2 Freshman) as well ,but losing several seniors will take its toll. I hope I have the names correct. Good luck to both teams !

Best in East TN Farragut - Depth on the mound will determine how far they will go. Science Hill - Will rely on Norris to take them to state. D. Crockett - Should reach state with 2 top pitchers. Webb - Experienced group should win state in private class. Gibbs- Bats will determine how far they will go. Halls - Deep Senior group could take them far. Seymour - Gritty group that wont back down, best AAA team in SC. Oak Ridge - Could be suprise team this year. This is just my top 8 as I'm sure there are others that are worthy of recognition.
