Not having Mikey Lett in the line-up killed the cat line-up because he was on fire at the plate. #3. Tyler Burns did more than enough to win the game from a pitching standpoint. #4 The cats made two errors critical errors and the cats just did not hit the ball good enough to win. Congrats to our Tullahoma Wildcats on the 3-1 win tonight. You represented 8AAA very well tonight. Making it the 5th season in a row to reach the sectionals in AAA high school baseball. Wildcat players and coaches a job well done!

Tullahoma produce's and competes year in and year out in baseball because of 1. Very good coach's. 2. Coach's that refuse to settle for anything but 100% effort from the players. 3. Coach's that feel how the team look's and performs on the field is a direct reflection of them. 4. Coach's that want to and will play the toughest teams anytime and anywhere.

District 8 will have Tullahoma #1 and Columbia # 2 for the 3rd year in a row!

What most everyone is forgeting here is Tullahoma lost a lot of seniors 12-13 I believe. They have the other Sheerfield kid who is a senior this year, but they will be a very young team in 2014.There has to be a drop off. I'll be suprised if they are even a .500 ball club this year. Just my thoughts!

In 8AAA Lincolin County and Lawrence County are the teams returning the most talent. Should be some great games between those two teams.

Heard last week that Coach Brewer stepped down at Franklin County. Does anybody know anything about what's going on over there? They have had a lot of turn over there in the last five years.

Could not say it any better. The trouble is that the TSSAA never listens to anybody that makes any sense for the kids. It's all about the money and how much profit they can rake in each year. Well said fester, ,

Stone had a ground ball take a hard hop up at his face in the 6th inning I think. He didn't seem the same after that.

Binns is coming along. As for the umping he's not gonna rush it to get back. Hopefully we'll see him before to much longer.

Thanks David for your reply. I'm friends with many high school coaches. Most parents have know idea what these men put up with to coach high school baseball from parents and boosters. They do it for the love of the game and to help promote their players. I often think how much better this game of high school baseball would be if the coaches could coach without the distractions that parents and boosters cause. Let the coaches coach, the players play, and parents support the teams where we can enjoy this great game. Just my thoughts!

I agree way to many times parents want and try to lay the blame on the coach. The coach can only do so much. The parents and/or boosters needs to support the coach and the team even though their child may start or be on the bench. Coaches get the blame for loses and never get any credit for the wins. Just my thoughts !

Tullahoma 15 Coffee Co. 0 in 5 innings. Cats played a great game tonight. No errors and Justus Sheffield was the man on the bump tonight. Great Performance.

I think all the teams will be improved. Tullahoma and Columbia are at the point in their programs where they are just reloading every year. Coach Tate will get Lincolin Co. back in the thick of things. In the end I feel like it will come down to who has the deepest pitching staff. Just my opion!

Good luck Coach Jones. Your a better man and coach than what Coffee Co. High ever deserved. Your record speaks for itself. Coffee County High School is the big loser here. Everyone associated with having you to step down needs to be ashamed of themselves. What a terrible loss for the kids!

Was at the district 8 AAA golf match between Tullahoma, Lawrence Co. and Columbia. With three holes to play the Graymere Pro came out and stopped the district match. Told the coaches to pull their players off the hole they were on so four of their members could play three holes to finish their match. I guess it shows where their support is!!! The nerve of this!!!

Coach White is still the head coach; he is being hired as another assistant coach on the Tullahoma staff.

Why would Tullahoma hire him. There are no openings on Tullahoma's baseball staff. Tulllahoma has a excellent head coach and stafff.
