Quillen deserves it from what I've seen and read and heard. I've only seen four games this year, but he pitched and won two of them and hit very well with multiple RBI and I don't believe I've ever seen him strike out. He's solid in the clutch. Is he playing at the next level anywhere? Does anybody know? Does he have any offers on the table? Are any of the Sycamore seniors getting any looks? What happens if it rains out today? Will they play it Saturday or Monday or call Sycamore the 1 seed and CW the 2?

I saw the Reed kid for Sycamore pitch once and he doesn't throw very hard, but breaks ankles with his curve ball. It's fun to watch. He also has good control and seems to hit his spots well. I moved here a couple of years ago and remember a kid that was similar in DeKalb Co. With him and Mayberry back next year, Sycamore should have a good one two punch. Maybe not overpowering, but solid and will definitely keep the batters guessing.

Well, I say the game is mostly between the ears. Obviously you must have talent, but 90% is mental. Just like boxing.

Harpeth has a good team. Sycamore had a rough first inning and never really got the bats going. Props to the young pitchers for Harpeth. They did a good job. Maybe the loss will be good for Sycamore. Good to get it now than tournament time.

Rose is a junior. He's the DH.

I'm sure Kyle Quillen will pitch against Harpeth on Tuesday. That will leave seniors Jake Sirmeyer and Cory Carrigan for Creek Wood. That's pitchers three and four. They also have juniors Cameron Reed and Travis Rose and sophmore Garrett Mayberry available.

Sycamore has looked strong all year. The senior leadership they have should get them over the hump this year. cheathamfan cracks me up. Cheatham was run ruled by Sycamore's sixth or seventh picher 11-1 last week in five. The 16-1 game last week had a freshman jv pitcher pitch two scoreless innings with three K's vs Cheatham.
