  1. Definitely two of the best teams in the state. Farragut should probably win, but Hendersonville has not lost a game since April 5th. Should be a great game.
  2. I believe the meaning of "homer" in this context is to describe someone who has a close devotion to a sports team. MVM, your descriptions are accurate. The Hendersonville and Farragut fans would be fun to watch.
  3. Basically they put Bearden and Farragut on opposite sides of the bracket (because thet are in the same region) and then they pull names out of a hat. Sometimes the top two teams play in the quarters.... that is part of the "bad side" of a blind draw.Sometimes the two best teams are on opposite sides of the bracket. For what it's worth, it works the same way in basketball. Several years ago #1 and #2 in the state AAA basketball tournament played in the quarters and #1 won the game by 3 points. They won the semis and the finals by over 20 points. Just the way it goes with a blind draw.
  4. I wasn't trying to put the jinx on you. But I had a chance to see your team this year and I was really impressed, particularly with some of your younger players who have stepped up and played well with their older teammates. Good luck tomorrow night.
  5. CAK and CCS are my two picks for the championship. It should be a great matchup if they both make it to the finals.
  6. Bearden is one top soccer programs in the state. In fact, they are a fixture in state tournaments. They have won state championships. They have a top coach. They know all about winning big games. They play in the toughest district in the State of Tennessee. Columbia seems to be on a roll. But can they stay in the game with the Bearden Bulldogs? Any predictions?
  7. Brentwood will definitely be there, but I think they will play the winner of Farragut and Hendersonville, which will probably be Farragut. Farragut wins the final in OT. Yes, that is the problem with the blind draw format. Sometimes the best two teams meet in the quarterfinals.
  8. definitely This could be the first of two state championships in a row for Farragut. But first, they have to get by Hendersonville, which is another great team. I'll take Farragut 3-2 in a close game.
  9. Bearden and Farragut are definitely two great teams. I think Morristown West will be playing one of them in a sectional game. I have not seen Morristown West play, but a friend told me that they have a solid team. Any real chance they could spoil another Farragut-Bearden rematch in the state tournament?
  10. Sorry if that was a mistake. Good luck to both teams.
  11. They do have a great venue. Should be a great game.
  12. This game should be a classic. I will take Ravenwood 2-1 in OT. It would not surprise me if both teams end up in the state tournament no matter who wins this game.
  13. Here we go again. Farragut handled Oak Ridge rather easily and Bearden won a classic over West. Now they meet for the third time, and who knows, maybe they will play a fourth time this year on down the road. Farragut beat Bearden 3-0 twice. Are we starting to see a pattern or will the third time be the charm for Bearden? Anyone want to make a prediction?
  14. LaVergne beat Clarksville 2-1 on April 7th in Clarksville. Will Clarksville get revenge, thereby setting up a likely regional final with Hendersonville (assuming Hendersonville takes care of business against Clarksville NE)?
  15. These two teams tied 0-0 on April 30. Boyd is 17-0-3 on the season. Which one will advance to play CCS for the region championship?
  16. Are these t-shirts to wear to the game, to wear after the game, or to give to West's players after the game?
  17. Any predictions on this game?
  18. Will this game be close? Or does Riverdale win big on their way to another Siegel matchup?
  19. Soddy will definitely leave it all on the filed, but the McMinn team has improved all year long. They know they have as much talent as anyone if they will just put it all together. They have the two very talented seniors that are twins(i think) and some very strong underclassmen. If McMinn plays like they are capable, things could get ugly for Soddy. However, if McMinn doesn't play as a unit, then they could be done for the year. My guess is their coach will have them ready to play at Soddy. (he always does) Should be an interesting game, but I see McMinn winning 2-0.
  20. Psuedo: Sorry if the word "upset" offended you. I was just looking at the previous score when the two teams played this year at West's field and Bearden won 3-1. I think that Bearden's boys definitely respect the West team. If they don't, they will be watching the rest of the season from the sidelines.
  21. These two teams are definitely two of the best teams in the state. Unfortunately, one of them will not make it to the region finals. Should be a great game.
  22. Carter has had a very successful season and played one heck of a game vs. Alcoa. Can they upset CAK who seems to be on a roll and playing very well right now?
  23. Bearden won the first meeting with West on March 13 by winning 3-1. Can West pull off another big upset, or does their season end on Tuesday? Any predictions?
  24. These teams tied 1-1 on March 12. They are two of the best teams in the state, but only one of them will still be playing after Tuesday. Any predictions?
