i like this web site. it has everything on here. i just read all the post about all these great catchers. but they don't talk about the girls of Rutherford County. everyone is missing some great ball players. my husband and i say, the catcher is the heart of the team. they call the shots, call the game, make the pitcher look good, and always has the best view of the game. but sometimes they don't get the same respect as the pitcher. Riverdale- has a catcher that is on fire. pretty good bat. cute girl. Siegel's catcher is a work in progress. dropped alot of balls last night. and a couple of pass ball as well. Blackman's catcher, well, let's just say, she is my favorite. i've been watching her since middle school. they tell us she came from Texas. Texas doesnt know what they lost. but Blackman's gain. she can frame the ball very well, has a great attitude, and holy cow, she can hit the ball very well. very cute dimples also, that is what makes her cute. my husband says, she is the best power hitter he has seen in a while from Rutherford County. i'd like to see her play in the summer. Oakland- she had to follow some big shoes this year. she is a one to watch also. i wish all these girls the best of luck this week. and my husband and i will try to be at the tournament this week. hope to see you go to the next level. good job parents for your commitment with these girls. good luck girls, 'YOU ROCK' in my book.

that is excatly what i noticed also. they do have some great parents and some great kids. the second baseman from Blackman is a great ball player also. she came over from the middle school just as well as most of those girls. that says alot about the coach at the middle school.

no, Siegel plays Cookeville today @ 4 if the rain will ever stop. and Oakland plays Lebanon @ 6pm. and the last game, Blackman and Riverdale @ 8pm.

well there is alot of talent out there. and it is true all of us talk about the seniors and juniors and freshman, but we seem to forget about the sophomores. these girls are a great group of girls. not saying the other aren't. if anyone has been paying attention to the girls in this district, there are some great ball players there. riverdale has at least five great players, siegel has another group that is great but, the one group that has stood out to my husband and i is the girls from Blackman. we have been watching this group since they came from the middle school. we call them the "TRIO" of Blackman. Abell, just keeps getting better and better, her speed and her bat is always there. i know she isn't a pitcher any more, but when i watched her, she would always give it her all. Billot, has grown so much and she is a vaccum out in the outfield, and can do some good things at bat. and Abell's old catcher, Vanvranken, well she just keeps on growing. with her size, she will go far in college ball if that is what she is working for. we saw her get a award the other night, not sure what that is about, but a parent from Riverdale, said she is a awesome ball player, and a great catcher. we watched Blackman play Siegel last night and she has a great bat. the night before she was on fire as well. we sat and watched her at bat and she had a single to right center, two-run homerun, and another single to right. but she didn't catch that night. she is a awesome catcher and power hitter, as my husband calls her. not sure on why she didn't catch, was looking forward to see her in action. hope they all have a great tournament.
