  1. Congratulations Coach Brown and the Lady Blue Devils!!! What an atmosphere to play in...that gym was rocking!!! I have to say Jackson County's student section is the REAL DEAL....that support and cheering means so much to the team. Talk about getting them fired up! All of you need to keep up the good work; it really does make a difference. The crowd support was top notch too! I just can't explain how awesome the whole atmosphere was, you just had to be there to understand. Can't wait for tomorrow night's Championship Game......GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!
  2. Perhaps your post would have come across better if you had stated something like this: All three nominees play for Elite AAU organizations: Andrews and Leonard for Tennessee Team Pride and Christopher for Flight. Great players such as Glory Johnson (signed with UT), Kamiko Williams ( UT bound also), and Lauren March from Marshall Co. also play for Tennessee Team Pride. This should remove all doubt that this organization is legit! At least I hope so because I've said all I want to about the subject!
  3. No, I am not implying that at all. We happen to know the Andrews family and have the utmost respect for them. I actually thought it was odd of you to imply that Flight would not want Andrews at the AAU level when Coach Insell did want her at the College Level (MTSU).
  4. Congratulations to Coach Flynn, Coach Godwin, and the Jackson County Blue Devils on your upset of the Pickett Co. Team. That was a huge win against a very good basketball team and coach. Many have noticed and commented on the recent stepping up exhibited by the Blue Devils. They seem to be clicking and coming together at the right time. Keep up the great work....We are behind you all the way to the STATE!!!!
  5. There needs to be corrections made to what you posted: Laken did not get "cut" from the flight team. She opted to play for Tiffany Woosley( former UT Lady Vol and WNBA Houston Comets standout player), the coach of Tennessee Team Pride. She has been playing for this same program for the past 4 years. Tennessee Team Pride has been very successful at the National level, placing 3rd one year and 7th one year. It is also true that Team Pride beat Kayla Christopher's team every game but one. Now, I'm not trying to take anything away from Christopher; I agree that she is a great player, but I think factual information needs to be on here instead of opinions. The most important thing to know about Laken is this: While she is appreciative of the individual honors that she gets, she would gladly give up Miss Basketball and all other individual awards to get the TEAM award! She wants to help her team and coach bring home the gold!
  6. We just read the news that Courtney has been chosen as one of the nominees for the McDonald's All American Athletes! We are so proud of you; this is a huge honor to be recognized out of thousands of young players. Congratulations, Courtney! You deserve it! Go Big Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. We are so proud of you Lakyn! You are not only an awesome bball player, but what really counts, you are an awesome person. Keep up the great work!

Muffin, the other response that was posted was from my wife. She is a little bit nicer than I am. Before you can comment on anything at RBS about basketball, you must attend games. I was the assistant coach on the high school team, and I don't recall ever seeing you at a game! You need to get a life. And yes I do know who you are!!!!

I had a friend call me about an hour ago to tell me that she had been on CoachT trying to defend Laken and that I needed to read the lies that were being written about her. I am on here because I do want to defend Laken's character. She made a decision to move to JC and is very satisfied with that decision. She doesn't wish anything but the best for the RBS team. That was her school for 10 years and she still has many friends that she cares about and stays in touch with. She has not and will not say anything bad about RBS, and she doesn't want us, her parents, to either. She is a Christian girl, and she doesn't deserve to have all these lies posted about her. She gave her heart and soul every game she played at RBS. The year before she was on the high school team, the team lost about 15 games. The year she played as an 8th grader on the varsity, the team set a school record for most wins and made a state tournament appearance. Her freshman year, the team won the District, which had not been done in many years and they set a new school record beating the previous year's record. She was with a good group of girls that could've won it all if attitudes had been like they should've been. It truly is disappointing to think that people were not HAPPY with all that success. I will agree with you on one thing: Basketball should be fun, learning skills that will benefit you in life, and building memories that you can always cherish. Laken intends to do just that. She loves the game and thanks God all the time for giving her the ability to play a game that she loves so much. To RBSfan, Muffin, Pup23, Ms. Roper: I really hope you'll attend a church somewhere tomorrow and ask for forgiveness for all the bad things you've said. I've already forgiven you, but I'm not the one you need to worry about!
  10. Congratulations to kayci for being nominated as a Miss Basketball Finalist. We are very proud of you. It is a true honor just to be nominated. May God continue to bring you blessings is our sincere prayer. We wish you all the best that life can offer!
  11. When you signed up to be a poster on Coacht, you were supposed to agree not to say anything that was detrimental or hurtful about any of the players. Do you remember that now? I am proud of laken and the young lady she is. She is a girl with morals and values. She is a Christian and takes her faith very seriously. It is very sad when good people get attacked this way. You are the one that will ultimately have to answer for the false accusations that you are making! Please keep that in mind. As for all the positive comments and encouragements, thank you. Laken appreciates those very much.
  12. As for the Competetion, I watched RBS play AA and AAA teams during the Fall League at Hooptown, and they won all their games except against Antioch who won by single digits. Competition in Kentucky was good also. Laken plays in AAU all summer long against great teams. In all these "Competitive" games, Leonard's stats remained strong. Actually, she seems to play better when the teams are better. You can check the facts on that too.
  13. Two words for you: OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS Laken had 7 offensive rebounds in the Clarkrange game and 5 defensive rebounds. She works hard to get to touch the ball! The fact is she just wants to help her team WIN, and yes, she has a good team to play with. As far as the subject of Reed, she is a great player with a bright future ahead. She and Laken go way back to AAU. It should be fun watching the two of them for the next few years.
  14. There is something you need to know, Senator and Options 86, there hasn't been any plays run for just LEONARD to score. Matter of fact, she is usually the second or third look on the play. She just happens to work really hard to get herself open. Here's something else you might want to think about, how do you think it is possible for Leonard to be the leader in assists if she is not a TEAM player? Yes, you heard me right, she is the lead scorer and the leader in ASSISTS, too. So, stop criticizing and making statements that have no truth. Check your facts first.
