I know I am a little bit bias but I think Smith Co. could make some noise possibly. With the exception of one game here lately SC has had some HOT bats and have played great in the field. They could sneak up and bite some people in the butts.

Smith County started off their postseason with a loss to DeKalb County in the first round of the district tournament. In their second game of the district tournament Smith came from behind to beat Livingston Academy 9 to 6. In their third game Smoith County played Upperman for a chance to go to the region tournament. Smith jumped out to an early 12-0 lead and that was enought to advance them on into the region. They were beaten later that night by DeKalb for the district championship(congrats to DeKalb). The Owls then moved on to play the Indians of Sequatchie Co.in the first round of the region tournament. The Owls won this game and it gave them a berth to play in the sub-state game. The next task at hand was the region championship game against who else other than DeKalb Co. This was the fifth time these 2 teams had met this year and the series was split 2-2. Dekalb took this game easily to win the region and make the series 3-2 in favor of the Tigers. The Owls traveled to Polk Co. to play the Wildcats for a chance to advance to the state tournament and play in the Boro. The Cats had a lead up until the 6th inning then the Owls decided they were going to play baseball. Smith Co. came away victorious with a freshman pitcher getting the win and advancing the Owls to the big dance in The Boro. The Owls will play Tuesday in the first round of the double elimination state tournament. Congrats to the boys and coaches for making it this far. Now go out there and represent District 8AA!!

Smith plays Cannon friday at smith Livingston plays york i think friday at livingston

I did not realize York and Cannon had not played yet but Livingston has 4 district wins. Upperman 9-1 Dekalb 7-3 Smith 6-4 Livinston 4-6 Cannon 2-6 York 0-8

1st seed Upperman 2nd seed Dekalb Co. 3rd seed Smith Co. 4th seed Livingston 5th seed Cannon Co. 6th seed York 3 will play 6 in play in and 4 will play 5

Big games for Smith and Upperman tomorrow decides 1st 2nd and 3rd in the district. Any takes on how this will all play out?

Smith was beaten by cannon last night 11-9. Everything that could have gone right for cannon did and everything that could have gone wrong for Smith did. Not taking anything away from cannon they played great and it was their night. Smith has to come together and win out in district play if they wanna win this district. Upperman 5-1 Smith 4-2 Dekalb ??? Livingston ??? Cannon 2-4 York 1-5

Smith County beat Cannon 11-1 in 5 innings last night. Joshua Johnston gets his 2nd win of the year in the district.

Pretty accurate prediction right there I'd say 11 but I think it will be 35-10 SC brings home the championship

You are correct, there will be no senior night. I don't know when it will be. All I was told was that it was postponed. Hey 11 how do you think this game will turn out??

Smith plays Cannon tomorrow night at Tech all DC and Upperman fans should come out and watch the battle for the district championship

This game will never be moved for the benefit of one team. CC will just have to suck it up and play. Owls win this one and bring home the district championship.

I'll be the first to answer. SC will win this one in my opinion. SC WILL NOT make the same mistakes that they did against Westy. Mistakes will from last game will be fixed. Maynord will have his team ready this coming Friday after the loss. SC has to stop killing themselves. No one has really stopped SC yet. SC can't give up the big play against DeKalb or have busts on D because DeKalb's QB will make them pay.

I must give credit where credit is due. Heck of a game by Gville. They need to learn how to finish the game though. SC way to keep playing hard to the last snap of the game. Best high school game I have attended in a while. Gville keep your heads up and keep fighting yall will make some noise this year in 1A.

Once again this Friday night the Owls will be able to do whatever they want. Run or Pass!!! Croz and GoodTime yall have lost yalls minds if yall think it is gonna be close and especially if you see the Tiggers winnin.

Alright everyone, this game is gonna be a blowout. I'm not gonna put a score on it because it's gonna be bad. But Smith Co. wins BIG. Croz I don't know what SC team you saw play last friday but it was obviously not the same team I saw play. The team I saw play is gonna line up and pop ole Gville in the mouth over and over again and make them like it.

About half of the yards SC gave up were given up by their subs.
