  1. I will go ahead an apologize in advance so that gunright01 doesn't have to do it for me. I'll take Panthers 7 Bison 3
  2. A former coach?! Man, I've never coached football a day in my life...unless you count all those Sundays from the comfort of my own couch! You, my friend, are the pot stirrer. I'm just trying to talk up my team. If you are a current Panther coach, which I think you are, you should either be getting your boys ready to play or teaching a class instead of posting on Coach T. Leave that to us amateur coaches (fans).
  3. One important factor that some of you seem to be overlooking is that White House lost a BUNCH of outstanding players that were on last year's semifinals playoff team. They seem to be pretty young this year. Portland, on the other hand, has SEVERAL returning starters on both sides of the ball including Aarondoll, Woods, Bosteck, Olligood, Kiser, Homes, Link, Blankinship, and McEwen, just to name a few. Also, we have a larger senior class than we've have had in several years. I think there's about 20 in the senior class. I believe experience will win out in this game. GO BIG P!!!
  4. White House gets too cocky! They will overlook the Panthers because we got beat so bad Friday night. Plus they will have the first game jitters while Portland will be over that and ready to play. Larrybird, thanks for your support when PHS is playing other teams!
  5. No way! Greenwood is probably the toughest team the Panthers will face this year. The Blue Devils will not be nearly as tough an opponent as what we saw Friday night. Our guys will work hard and overcome this huge disappointment. I still believe we can pull off the win at the House. Panthers 21, BDP 14.
  6. Greenwood is NOT a terrible team!! Nevertheless, this was a very disappointing loss for the Panthers. We're can't play like this and compete in the new district. C'mon boys, put this behind you and get fired up for the Blue Devils next week! Hang in there P-Town!
  7. Just wondering - when was the last time Portland played Gallatin? It must have been a long time ago.
  8. I don't think the Panthers will have any problem with Greenwood. Our guys are fired up and ready to go. They are not going to let a team that has never beaten us come into the Jungle and pull an upset. I know Greenwood won their district last year but their competition level is not what Portland is used to facing. Panthers 28 - Gators 7. GO BIG P!
  9. And just who will that "1" win for Portland be?
  10. The Panthers have a new coach and a whole new offense and we have several returning starters. This will not be the same team you have seen from the past few years. The game will be a lot closer than you are predicting, just wait and see...... We are now down to 25 days and counting! Portland fans are looking forward to coming to the House.
  11. Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Portland scrimmage this week.
  12. I am out of town for the weekend, does anyone know how the Panthers faired against the Eagles today? Thanks!
  13. Portland scrimmages Shelbyville tomorrow at Portland. Should be interesting since our new head coach used to coach at Shelbyville...
