  1. Headed back to the eye doctor tomorrow. Please continue to pray fro Tyler. He is doing well and in good spirits but still has a great deal of vision loss in his right eye. The surgery under his eye is on hold while the eye tries to heal. This young man is inspiring me daily with his desire and commitment to get back on the field next year as well as the basketball court. He has a long way to go but with his attitude and the Lord on his side I believe he will make it.......
  2. Thanks Chris, He is determined to play again so once he is cleared by the Doc and we know what his sight is going to be we may be spending some time at your place.....
  3. Yesterday afternoon the Doctor said he was "very Impressed" with Tyler's progress over the first week. He still has no sight in the bottom half of the vision field in his right eye, however the vision in the upper half improved to 20/80. This is a good start and we continue to pray for healing and a full recovery. The doctor said it is a matter of wait and see. Thanks again for all the prayers and please continue as he fights this battle. He is determined to play again and we have faith that he will do just that.
  4. Update on Tyler: As of today Tyler is doing pretty well. The swelling is down and he is functioning a lot better. He has another appt with the eye doctor Monday afternoon and we hope the prognosis gets better. Right now he has significant vision loss in his right eye and the Doctor actually told him he may never play again. This was the first time that the reality of that hit him and as you all can imagine that has been tough, especially for a sophomore to think he may lose his final 2 years of HS. But the doctor said "may not" and we know the Lord is in control. I do want to say thank you to all of those who have called, emailed, text, posted their thoughts on the internet, and most importantly those who continue to lift him in prayer. We know that with the Lord nothing is impossible. Thanks to all for the prayers and please continue to lift him up as it will be a long road.....
