  1. Congrads to Greeneville!! Good Crowd and the Classy Dads from Greeneville that talked to Zack K (#44) who may be out for the season with a knee injury. We will know more later. You all are a class act and many of our folks appreciated it. The early turnover on special teams and the bad punt gave the Greeneville O short fields for early scores. That was the biggest hurt. As predicted, Special teams was the main difference. Good score prediction on the folks that had it 35 to 7. I wish Greeneville the Best of Luck with the rest of your season. As for the Patriots: With 25 seniors and 9 juniors there is no excuse for that many people to be playing Iron Man football in this weather (Heat and Humidity). We played WAY too many people both ways as we did last year early in the season and you will get the same results. Losses Play calling was not the best. Screens, quick 3 yard “hot routes†and roll out passes will protect your QB and keep him from being sacked 7 times. If half of your O line and all of your receivers are starting on D and you Do NOT rotate them out with fresh people, I do not care how conditioned your players are, they WILL be gassed by the mid 3rd Quarter. (see the Greeneville mid Q3 TD Drive to make it 27 to 0) That is just the facts of Football at this level. If you only had 25 to 30 total players on the team I would understand. We have over 70, no excuse. Players: You have the heart and determination to win. You did not cave to the pressure and kept fighting to stay in the game. You held them out of the endzone and to only 6 points in the second Quarter. Keep working hard and stay positive. You can beat Bearden. The key is stay together as a team. This was only one game in a 10 game season. Take them one at a time and do not dwell on the past. Victory shall be yours!!!! Thank you to the parents and fans that asked for cowbells to ring. It was my pleasure as the boys know we are still pulling for them even when they are having a tough time. Now, Get ready for Bearden. Peace
  2. That I think was determined by the T$$AA, not the school. Schools determine who they play non conference. Peace

Sad part was we played way too many people both ways as we did last year and you will get the same results. A Greeneville Win. I wish Greeneville the Best of Luck with the rest of your season. Peace
  4. See you in a few weeks.... I think reality will smack you all Saturday.... Peace
  5. I would say you are right from what I heard today. That MoW and MoE players and coaches will be there in force. The only way to forge Steel is by Fire. And we will be in the heck Fire of the G Devils tonight. Travel Safe Folks Peace
  6. Travel Safe on your way to and from the Game! Peace
  7. You said it would be (Friday). Not the season. Maybe, you need to be more clear on your posts TommyT. And OUCH, the Name calling so early in the season. Guess you can not stomach the fact that not a single starter was on the field for one snap of the MoW vs JeffCo game and we stuffed you with our 2nd D on a short field the first series. See missed Field Goal with no rush on. Whooooops I do think your coach figured it out after our 3rd string O started moving the ball some on your D as he started subing players. I think many of your players are out of shape as I saw many players with their hands on their hips sucking wind after plays. Peace
  8. I posted this on the Greeneville/JeffCo Prediction Thread also: As 10,000 + fans arrive and the Cowbells will be ringing for the Biggest Game in JeffCo Football History since 1987. The JeffCo Patriots ride out the early onslaught by the Greeneville D as Bible gets the ball to 10 and 24 in space, 33 and 44 pound the rock and make a game of it. The coaches rotate in the senior heavy D line and Linebacker corps to keep them fresh for the 3rd and 4th quarter in the heat and noise of Dumplin Vally. There will be a TON of points scored as the offensive weapons on both sides take over and crank out the TD's, but Special Teams will be the difference as someone will force a turnover or block a punt to get a quick score. Both Teams have great speed and talent and heart. But it will come down to senior leadership as JeffCo's Battle Worn Seniors Gut It Out. My Prediction: Greeneville 33 Jefferson County 37 Peace Also, Fans: Bring a Cowbell or a noise maker of some kind. If you do not have a Cowbell, find me, I have 2 dozen extra you can barrow for the night of the game. It annoys the dickens out of the opposing offenses. We can be the twelfth man with the right kind of crowd noise. (NOT CUSSING AT THE COACHES OR PLAYERS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT LIKE THE PLAY CALL) Thank You!!! Go Pats!!!

  10. I am amazed at the memory loss you have, but Jeff thumped Greeneville in 2008 42 to 28 at Greeneville on the legs of Christian McFall and some hard hitting D. So, I will take that reality check for JeffCo winning. Thanks! Also, that 21 points was MoW's 1st Team vs the 2nd team Offense and 3rd team Defense of JeffCo. Sorry to burst your bubble, but 2 of those scores where on the short side of the field and that 2nd team JeffCo D held MoW to a missed field goal on our 2nd team O's first turnover. So, I was not impressed with MoW if that was the best they had. As for the IMAC 1. Jeff Co. 2. Sevier Co. 3. Mo West 4. Seymour 5. Mo East 6. Cocke Co. 7. Cherokee 8. South-Doyle Peace
  11. Thanks for the time. I will let "Coach D" know when I see him Friday as he will be at the game to see his boys. I do think it will be an amazing game. We will know how good Jeff is by the middle of the 3rd Quarter. Peace
  12. What was his time? I would like to let "Coach D" know as he trained my son and several of the Greeneville players over the summer. Peace
  13. You are 100% correct barb. It should be a great match-up between two well prepared teams this Friday night in DV. Both teams have tremendous speed on the D lines and both teams swarm to the ball. I would look for some misdirection plays from both teams to slow down the rush as much as possible. I can see this game being close or a blowout. It mainly depends on if the teams can keep a hold of the football. I expect some major “Smackdown†type hits being delivered by the defenses as the speed of the linemen/linebackers comes home in hit after hit as the game wears on. IF Greeneville can keep a sustained pass rush and make sure tackles, force turnovers, they win. IF Jefferson County can hold onto the football, get receivers in space and give Bible time to make accurate throws, Jefferson County wins. My prediction: I will give that on Thursday. Peace PS: Bring a Cowbell. Many of the players have told me they like it. Especially when Jefferson County is on Defense. If you do not like Cowbells, bring ear plugs. You will need them.
  14. Yep, he is the real deal. Not quite that range on field goals, but he is a solid kicker. Saw him kick in Atlanta at the NUC combine. And, you better pray he does not have to punt. I know some of the middle rushers on the punt return team itching for a "real" punting situation. My prediction: Pain LOL Peace
  15. I really enjoyed the Jamboree tonight. Looks like we have made BIG strides in the starting O line. Good overall protection. Bible had time to throw and 24 and 10 had BIG time yards after catch. Great to see us throwing to 40 in the flat! 33 had strong runs. The D line did very well and coaches are developing the depth we need for the season. Linebackers and D Backs are really swarming to the ball. Best part was NO REALLY DUMB PENALTIES !!!!! Congratulations to those who competed in the individual events. I think we showed class in our actions. I feel much better about playing Greeneville next Friday Night, but do not get cocky. A Jamboree does not the season make. Take it ONE game at a time, stay positive and fired up even when the chips are down and Jefferson County Football will do great things. Peace
  16. That is great, 65 yards should give Greeneville a big deep threat weapon. Just another reason for you folks to be confident. Peace
  17. According to The Standard Banner dated 08/05/2010: JeffCo will play Cherokee first and then Mo-West. Freshmen start at 6 PM. Admission is $5. Peace
  18. I LOVE the Greeneville confidence. Your team is STUD and you know it. #1 in the state and that is a well deserved rank. You have many weapons returning and your young men should be primed and ready. I have seen some of your players at combines over the summer and they were impressive. And my son worked out with some of your players over the summer and I know your crew of D-linemen were fast and strong. Big thing is can the team handle the lights, camera action of the first road game of the season and playing in DV. I am just glad the game is played at Jeff this year. Maybe we can get a few bounces to go our way and keep it close. No prediction from me yet. Just need to see if Jeff can get a couple of players healthy before the 20th. Peace
  19. 1st and 2nd and 3rd team D did well. Speed truly killz.... Coaches seem to be evaluating the talent by giving the younger players a ton of snaps. I think that is GREAT as the only way to evaluate that many players is to get good film on them vs other teams at "near game speed". O still has work to do. That should be expected with the new sets and going to the spread option. DK looked solid and cut up the field. I think they need to throw to the TE some, the inside slant is open as LB's are stunting to press the QB and gum up the inside run. Good productivity by the receivers and Bible took some shots and kept on humming. Keep it up young man. You are doing great. O line needs to stay fired up and lay the wood to someone. Overall, they need to keep working hard and stay positive. Good things happen to teams that have a fire in their belly and THIS TEAM SHOULD HAVE A FIRE IN THEIR BELLY!!!! Keep rocking and I am shinning up my cowbells for the 20th vs Greeneville. MORE COWBELL BABY!!!!! Peace
  20. I agree we will need to use the depth/experience we have at several positions not to have the issue of so many people playing both ways. But, this was the first time JCHS had padded up against another team since October of 2009. I think the coaches were just feeling out the players at a "near game" speed. JCHS will need to rotate players in on the D-line as we did at the end of last year to keep us "fresh" in the late 3rd and 4th Quarters. It just makes since when you have only 3 down defensive linemen dealing with 5 offensive linemen in the 3-5-3 set. Those young men take a pounding, but they are quick. Against Greeneville, we will need every break we can get and we must execute blocking and not turn over the ball. It should be close, but going against the Number 1 4A team will be BIG Test. Peace
  21. I would guess it is to take advantage of the speed at receiver. Hopkins and Goins run around 4.4 40's, Smiley is in the 4.5 range. DK and Kounts make you respect the run. We have depth at TE as well. The 4 deep at TE can block, catch and run. The key on Offense will be the O-line. Can we sustain pass protections and keep Bible healthy? I pray so. Jeff has a lot of experienced players, so no "youthful" reasons for not getting it done on the field. Peace
  22. I think that the match was pretty even until Jeff put in the 4th and 5th rotation of players in. I still do not know all the players by name/number, so not sure who is what number for the younger players. The one thing I saw is that Jeff has depth. I guess with 20+ Seniors you should have depth. Peace
  23. Anyone have thoughts from the Jeff-Co vs. Knox Central scrimmage?
