  1. Last year, William Blount was down 28-0, before coming back and winning it 38-35 against Jefferson County. That loss kept JC from making it to the playoffs. I think JC will come out hungry and make sure they get some revenge. JC 31 WB 17
  2. JC travels to Knoxville this Friday to take on Devrin Young and the Bearden Bulldogs. JC is coming off a tough loss to Greeneville and Bearden is coming off an impressive win 72-27 against a team that I can't remember. For Jefferson County, this is a big game. JC is going to try to avoid going 0-2 going into an absolute crucial game against conference foe Sevier County. If the Pats can get a big road win, then that should bring momentum, confidence, and fan suppport when they return to DV to take on the Smokey Bears. Last year, when Bearden came to Dandridge, the Patriots did a good job containing major D-1 prospect Devrin Young, but after a dismal offensive performance the Patriots fell to the Bulldogs 24-3. I see this game can go either way. but the Patriots have to play a mistake free game, unlike they did against Greeneville, where they hurt themselves too much. Anyway, I hope a lot of JC fans make the trip to Knoxville and see this game that has a lot at stake.
  3. Heres what I thought: Greeneville is very talented and deserved that win but Jefferson County never quit. Also, JC gave Greeneville WAY too many opprotunities. First drive, you all convert on 3 and 4 down. We fumble on the kickoff, you all convert on 3 down again. Its 14-0 before our offense has even seen the field. We cant do that and expect to win against a team like Greeneville. Our offense has work to do, and our defense played good give given the fact you all dominated top. Congrats to greeneville, though you all are a heck of a team
  4. After Greeneville, JC travels to Bearden, then opens up conference play with Sevier County, and then hosts their last non conference opponent William Blount. A tough non conference schedule, if I'm not mistaken Greeneville plays Tennessee High, and I'm not sure whether they are in your conference anyway that looks like a great game. Good luck with your all's season, but of couse come tomorrow, I hope we take it to you. Go Pats
  5. I believe this year is the year Jefferson County must turn the corner or it might not happen in a long time. Your right, JC did return to the playoffs under first year head coach, who also was the youngest coach in the state Justin Anderson, but lost to Farragut. 2008 brought tons of hope, but injuries doomed the pats plummeting them to a 3-7 record, and in 09 we were young and it took us awhile to find our beat. This year, however there are no excuses, the Pats must succeed. If your behind JC then I strongly encourage you to come out this Friday to watch the season opener against Greeneville. Game starts at 7:30, but you might want to get there earlier, because its going to be packed. 2010 is the year for the Patriots, I believe it, and I know they believe it too. Go Pats
  6. I know Cherokee is probably looking at a tough season, but they have a young super talented QB I believe and I thought a lot of Sophomores will be getting playing time this year, due to lack of depth. So in a year or two they should have a lot of returning starters. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
  7. yea ha I know I had to give the top spot to my team, but I do agree with you that Jefferson County and Sevier County will be the top two teams this year. The main reason I gave the top spot to JC is because they have more returning starters coming back than SC, but I know SC always produces great athletes and are always a tough opponent. But hey, thats why you play the season. We'll find out soon. Go pats
  8. by me sayin the jeff co football team has outworked anyone in east tennessee, doesn't mean I don't think every other team doesn't work hard. Yes, there are teams who work harder, I was just trying to get the point across of how much this team has put their time in this football program. thats why I think you misunderstood what I meant. Anyway it doesn't matter, Go Pats only three days away
  9. just cant understand why you think like that. Anderson came in 2007, brought us to the playoffs and had wins over morristown west, morristown east, and sevier county. In 2008, we had a lot of hype but were were plagued by injuries and any year where your 1 and 2 team qb's get injured you're going to have a tough year. In 2009, we were very young, breaking in a new qb, and a new defense, yet we still defeated morristown east and finished in the district 5-2. This year, there is no excuse, the patriots will win the district, I believe, and will make a run in the playoffs. I hope you come out friday and get behind this team. Go Pats
  10. Amen, always around September when I'm out there in the fields, my mind is on football. Love fall saturdays, after a great friday night of high school football, and the big orange playin. Its finally here! Well almost ha. GO PATS
  11. Here are my predictions for the IMAC in 2010 #1 Jefferson County #2 Sevier County #3 Morristown West #4 Morristown East #5 Seymour #6 Cherokee #7 Cocke County #8 South Doyle
  12. Thanks for the update, Greeneville will be the toughest team JC will play all year, no doubt. Can't wait till this friday. Dumplin Valley should be electric. Go Pats
