  1. is this a smokescreen to divert or good advice??? We'll send in a scout first then track yeens down!! Not to mention Mrs Goon tolerates Zero smoke! Lol!

    Seriously, it is a smoke-filled place. When I go, Mrs. Cannon makes me sleep in the garage because of the smoke smell (at least thats her excuse that night).But check it out as there are many places within walking distance. Flying Squirrel is also close but may be too hip for the goon squad. Me and Booger will probably be hangin' at Clydes, depending on what time I escape the in-laws.

  2. Agreed its ridiculous, but probably not for the same reasons. If it makes you feel better taking shots at public school kids, fine. As long as the situation is fixed, that's a very small price to pay.

    To be clear, I'm not taking shots at public school kids. I'm a public school kid. I'm taking shots at you and public school parents. The situation you want "fixed" is the ability to give out more trophies. How about working harder? Now there's an idea.

  3. I welcome the split and it can't come soon enough. Let the public schools get their ribbons and trophies and other assorted handouts. Our kids will do continue to work hard (year round), and compete with whatever division they are put in. Our kids will continue to go to college at a 99% clip, with most getting scholarships. Academic scholarships. This argument is beyond ridiculous.

  4. Actually, in Chattanooga they could have played all of the games at one complex on great fields where you could have walked from game to game with ease.  TSSAA is only interested in one thing.  Sad to say.

    T$$AA

  5. ...the fields are never good here this time of year here regardless and the bad thing is they want be any better today....these games need to go back to Chattanooga are Memphis

    .....Booger just sayin :popcorneater:

    It really is a travesty that these games are not played at high schools. At least the fields were not painted green like at the boys tournament this past spring.

  6. The Tennessee Supreme Court just decided not to rule on an appeal from TSSAA that they are not subject to open records laws. Which effectively means that TSSAA Is available for public access to their records. If they are not doing a blind draw, then just ask them. I'm sure they will be forthcoming that they are. {wink wink}

  7. The only issue I have seen with high school coaches also coaching a club in the same town has been the coach pressuring high school players to play on his/her club team. I know this happened with a Kentucky HS. Probably why the 50% rule was put in place.

    The rule was put in place because of baseball.
