Wanted to share this post with all of you faithful football supporters. Tune in to News Channel 4 at 6:00pm tonight breaking news on Riverdale High School Football. Major Recruiting Violation within the football program. Wow less than six months out, your program is under investigation again for violating rules!!!!

I want to clear the air about something. I feel bad that Byron is getting a bad wrap from some of you. I know him too from seeing him around and in the community. I also know that a couple of these screen names on here belongs to Coach Greg Wyant and Coach Jordan Hankins. I know they are on here bashing him, but I will defend him until I turn blue in the face because helps our kids. The sad part about it is he doesn't have a kid here nor is he from here, but one thing about it is every kid will play for him. He gets those kids motivated and excited! I wish that he could sit down with Aydelott and Hankins and work things out over at Riverdale because those kids need him. I am going to go and talk to Aydelott myself on his behalf and I feel that many of you loyal Riverdale fans need to also because you need someone around your program that the kids can relate to. It will be a big blow if he ends up at any other school because he is so loved by all of the kids. He would give the shirt off his back to help a kid. He gives so much of his time in the community. Many of you that have bashed him, have you taken the time out to find out why he wants to leave? Well I have and I will let it on the line because he didn't want to nor does he want to come back on this site because he thinks all you want to do is trash him. He said that he feels that Aydelott and Hankins has mistreated him for the past couple of years and not allowed him the opportunity to help the kids!! I think he is a big asset to anyone's program. He broke down in tears when he was talking about leaving the kids at Riverdale. Not one time did he mention about leaving Riverdale, he said the kids. He is visible in all of the sports over there and I am hoping that some of you loyal Riverdale fans would get off your high horse and figure out what is going on with your program and try to keep this man a part of your family. It's sad only in this county where a man stands up for himself is he shot down. I commend Mr Devinner for trying to clear his name but I too wish he had not came on here because many of you took your shots at him. Now the coach with all of the screen names and personalities has to be Coach Hankins because the kids say that he lives on Coach T with several different user names. I only have one issue here and it is not whether Mr Devinner is going over to Oakland or Blackman. I really hopes he would stay at Riverdale for those kids because they love him there. My son says the kids all over admire him. Should we be asking why is he leaving or why has all of the coaches left a school so rich in tradition? If you are not aware that have been about 20 coaches at least that have left since Coach Aydelott has taken over. Look at all of the Oakland Coaches and Administration they are former Warriors. Siegel has a Warrior on staff. MTCS has a Warrior, Trousdale has two. The bottom line is Aydelott has no control over that program and coaches don't want to be apart of a cancer. There are only two coaches that are left on that staff and the only reason they are coaching is because they are head coaches in other sports. Now you wonder why Devinner wants to leave. He is probably mistreated like everyone else is including those kids. I think that the Warrior Nation need to realize that they have a cancer coaching staff that don't know how to win. Metro Ron is only good in the Metro and Hot Head Hankins don't know nothing about an offensive line. I say bring back Britton and name Chris White the head coach. Then you will see how the program will turn around. You have two people that are the cancer and they have detroyed a dynasty.

Face the facts that Aydelott is a jerk. He ran off his best friend and defensive coordinator Coach Hemitolar. This is a guy that burns many bridges. You are so quick to get on people and try to ride them, when he is the one that needs to be rode. Riverdale lost more games last year than Rankins did in 10yrs. It's not because there isn't talent it's because there is no coaching. Also you are referring to dorms lets not forget that Riverdale is the one that put a high school basketball player in an apartment last year that she could not afford. So if they build dorms over at Blackman, my kid will live there if Devinner is the dorm director because I know he will take care of my son.

I totally agree, why are we so quick to judge and make critical judgement about someone before we really know them. I can bet you that there are many athletes here in the county that has much respect for him. Some of your athletes to name a few especially the kids at Riverdale. It is a difference between recruiting and a kid who wants to follow someone they look up to. Most of you that are trying to smash Devinner might need to look in the mirror. Not to mention he may have helped some of your kids. I know for a fact that he has helped mine. I would back him where ever he went. I wish that he would remain a Warrior and from my understanding he wants to but I think Aydelott and Hankins are intimidated by him because of the good things he do. For all of you who want to call him a recruiter. I guess he recruits for every school because he has ties everywhere. That's because he has a foundation that helps kids and he don't burn bridges like some people I know! I know first hand he tries to help the kids because he had my son out there during Christmas helping with a toy drive that the Riverdale coaches made the comment that unless it was about Riverdale Football they would not be allowed out there. But the kids went anyways because they love to help him. The guy is good for any school he is at. I just think many of you'll are worried to see him on the opposing team sidelines especially at Oakland or Blackman. This guy has helped so many kids. Let's look at Hughes from Siegel. Ask him who helped him get to UT. Ask Gooch at Siegel, who has helped him. Ask Overton and Mayes at Riverdale and see who has helped them with college. It is not always Aydelott or Hankins. It's him! UAB now recruits Rutherford County hard! Why because he is here and he shares his knowledge of talent. Some of you need to grow up bottom line!

Choppin4u, I was hoping the samething because he could show all of the coaches around here that he loves the kids! I know there will be a lot of kids on Warrior Drive that will miss Devinner because he played a very important role with those kids. I am sure that Aydelott will miss him. I know the kids that were there before really appreciates him because they come back to see him. He has a heart for the kids. I sure wish he could remain at Riverdale. I am hoping someone can get it in the thick head of Nolen and Aydelott that they need him around more than he needs them. He can go to any school and be successful. I am sure if he wanted to go to Oakland the coaches over there would love to have him because remember they are former Riverdale Coaches

Look here guy I am not a rookie nor do I have a chip on my shoulder. If you read the column it seem if you all are the one attacking people and making allegations. I am still waiting on a answer about Smyrna. To answer your question, it is not the Devinner guy. I am told that he is no coaching. He is going to be a consultant for Blackman. Coach Beasley is going over to Oakland. Now are you satisfied. Now inform the world of what happen in Smyrna since you want to reveal everything.

So what went down in Smyrna since you know so much? I am sure CoachT would like to know this as well since you want to bad mouth everyone on here. I don't know the guy, but from what people has told me he is all about helping the kids. Personally I hope he lands a coaching job to show all of you that he knows how to build a relationship with the kids and coach football. My kid really respects him. I guess it is because he takes time out for the kids. It looks like everyone wants to bash the guy when the guy is always supporting Riverdale. But now that other schools are noticing he is very valuable and can help their program you guys get on the defense. Are you afraid that he knows you all too well and he will help other schools beat you. I don't see him going to any school that has to play against those kids at Riverdale unless it is personal between he and the coaches there. Which that maybe the case. Let's clear the air. Tell us what happened at Smyrna? We all are dying to know!!!!!!!

You don't know much at all do you! He coaches youth football which he has an influence on all the young talent. He also has a lot of influence with all the young kids. I was just at his camp about two weeks ago and he had a lot of talent there. Several division 1 prospects. Ask some of the coaches around the county and find out what person has the most influence within the young kids and the community. Go to Smyrna and ask William and Middleton and they will tell you

That's very cute but it's not Ricky Field. It's actually the mentor who does more in this community with kids from all over. That's one of the major problems that I heard is because Aydelott didn't like him hanging out and helping other kids at other school's. This guy is a asset wherever he goes. I have a kid on the team at Blackman and he has really helped my son a lot. Is it a fact that they are afraid that he will influence kids to other schools that he coach in Junior Pro other than THE MIGHTY RIVERDALE! I hope he does because from what many parents have told me the current coaching staff has ruined the program that Rankins built

I don't think so! I think he is headed to Patriot Drive. I saw him eating tonight at Toot's with two of Oakland starters tonight. Whether he is at MTCS or Oakland it is a blow for the Riverdale staff in many ways because the kids really respect and like him a lot. He was the gel to all sports. He loved Warrior Drive, but I am sure that Hothead Hankins or Metro Run has finally run him off too. Also is it true that Riverdale is it true that the TSSAA is investigation RIverdale for trying to pay and recruit a kid this year from Central Middle School who is zoned for siegel? Haven't they learned that they are playing with fire. I wonder how did they get the Odom and Craig kids because they live in the heart of siegel zone. Oh they change addresses or use other players addresses at Riverdale and the prinicipal let it slide. I hope they are finally caught because they cheated all of these years when Rankin was there

Oakland is the new Riverdale. The principals once walked the halls on Warrior Drive. Their coaches once walked the halls on Warrior Drive. Now their mentor whom some says has more influence over the kids than Metro Run and Hothead Hankins has now left the school for The Patriots! I tried to call him because we have a mutual friend but he wouldn't confirm or deny the rumors. He says he is going to coach at MTCS, but I can not see him as a fit there. He is all that Coach McDaniel needs because the kids will come to him for advise and help. I know the Warrior Faithful's are sadden by this loss especially considering the fact thr kids really believe in him and what he stands for. HOTEL MOTEL GO TO heck RIVERDALE
