Im sorry i was under the impression that A.C. did not shake powells hands after there victory 2 weeks ago. Is that not true??? Did A.C's head head coach not also not just himself disrepect the W but also call his whole team over the disrespect our W....those too actions are both signs of no class. if they both actually happened and im sure they did. No Class Disipline= No Championship.

I move that no matter what happens the rest of the year the west and maryville rebels meet up on december 5 and play another game ot see who is truely better now....na now on a seruous note...does anybody know if there is a team in 5A that can handle wests explosiveness??? they've blewout the last 8 out of 9 teams they've played. They look to me to be too explosive to handle right now...keep it goin west finish building your legacy. West could become a power house for the next couple years.

Wheres my buddy catcall at....once again i was right even in the preseason i told you exactly what would happen if west played in centrals WEAK region. Anderson County, a team with one of the top offenses in the state couldnt score over 12 points??? they got mercy ruled in the first half. This should deffinatly prove how truely weak there region is. Anderson CO. where even complaining about being a 3 seed...now i think they're glad it wasnt at home...it wouldve been the same result for them. West beat them by more points then they averaged...Avg=41 west won by 43...in the third round of the playoffS??? i was expecting anderson co to pose some sort of challege the looked like a Junior Varsity team...thats what happens when a team without any class or physicality plays a team with ample amounts of both...the pregame display by anderson co's head coach was so disrespectful so he got disrepected back...he was suppose to have been lucky when he wore his letterman jacket...i dont think he'll be doing that again...Powell i hope this makes up for them not shaking hands with yall at the end of the game...im sure that whole football community is humbled.

Today at 6:30 West faces sevier Co. How good of a team is sevier Co.? I know in years past they've been a playoff team, but what about now????

Another dominate showing by West as they came to play against McMinn Co. In short, except for when McMinn's varsity was in with west's JV, West looked great against McMinn. Coming as no surprise to me West's passing looked phenominal yet again. West is really good this year.

ive heard that every other team is playing on thursday. West V. South is the only friday night game. Im assuming the games going to be packed, does anyone else agree???

im looking forward to the game. i've had it circled on my calender for a while. And im not expecting a blow out at all, but i do see west winning 31-21. Enough talk about the stadium, everybody heard it was nice, lets focus more on the game. I want to hear what south brings to the table this year.

Runnin Rebels....he cant be serious...its obvious to me he wasnt even at the scrimmage in the spring, had he been then there would be no way he says that. If he didnt realize west forced 7 fumble that scrimmage and 5 were recovered by west. Lucky for central the posession was returned after turnovers. Some people crack me up. Ow and to correct u again, you seem to need alot of correction catcall, central didnt score a single time against wests starting defense. To make my arguement even stronger Christian Francis, wests 3 year starter at QB, didn't even participate in spring ball he was still recovering from a prior surgery.

08/20/10...bristol...no school for kingsport...im thinking that the West v. South game is going to be jam packed...any comments on the game or on the predicted turn out for it????

I'm a huge west supporter and even i know west isn't the best team but they aren't the worst neither. West is a well respected team that in the playoffs no team could look forward to playing. Anybody that knows high school football schould know that. To correct a prior mistake west in fact was 4-6 last year, but poor calls by referees decided the difference in the fulton and farrigut game. And if west played catholic on a better field last year west wins that game 24-21. West is a competitive team each season, they just also happen to be playing in the toughest region in the state of tennessee. If west was in the same region as central they'd most likely win the region, that can even be argued. I understand that history makes a program, but it shouldnt be brought up in discussions of the now, and in the now west is a better program both athletically and academically than central, thats just the simple facts of the matter and for anyone to say otherwise is absolutly garish, and a bold face lie as well.

yea the tight end is a big kid. He did have a long score, but more importantly than that he dropped a couple open passes. I didn't at first believe he was actually a d1 recruit. How sure of hands does he have normally? Maybe yesterday was just a bad day for him.

Christian Francis ran for 1. A sophmore runnin' back who seems to be fighting for a spot named Josh Davenport broke a 60-70 yarder the second posession. a junior receiver Antonio Stinson caught 2, 1 for close to 60 and another in close to the goal line in which he made 3 defenders miss, and a sophmore reciever name Wytravius Gatlin caught another deep bomb from Christian. Alot of young guys stepped up apparently. There was many more big plays both offensively and defensively for west. Plenty big gains and every play for Tennesse High must've been miserable, becasue the defense is full of hitters, it seemed like a Tenn. High player was lookin for his mouthpeice after every play.

Its only a scrimmage, but today against tenn. high west looked very...i mean VERY impressive. Tennesse High couldn't even manage a first down for the majority of the game. West's defense looked great...as usual...but more importantly there offense was rollin'. they exploded, the rebel offense found the inzone 6 times, 3 of which where through the air. Tenn. High, on the other hand, scored 1 time on I think literally was the last play of the game when all west's starters were already done for the day... It was only a scrimmage but complete and utter domination.... West isn't a team to take lightly by any standards.

Can west high still make the playoffs? with farragut and catholic both loosing non region games jus like west, what does this mean for the playoff picture? Any thoughts concerns?

I'm kind of curious about this game, both maryville and west have pretty good atheletes on both sides of the ball. West beats Maryville in terms of speed and quickness but Maryville beats West in terms of discipline. If Maryville slips up once and allow one big play that could be game over. Especially with Stephen Gybison coming back this weak. I am expecting WHS to come through with the upset.

Ok this is something thats been on my mind. Who wins this game and why do you think so?

The score was 14-6. devrin had a fun for 60+ yards late in the game and set up a score. his total yards for that game was anywhere from 80-110. he was kept quite the whole game until the one game clinching run. this year west is alot stronger and faster they will do a better job then last year and that is hard to do. the jamboree west jus played to conservative to really turn any heads. My personal opinion is that west wins a close low scoring game.
