Bigchief you already know who the fireman will be. However if by some crazy chance the principal actually gets to decide I know runtheballs son would probably be up for it. He would need help though. That's going to be the hard part. Also Butler is already in building. He would be a goid choice if he wants back in the game.

I didn't remember them parting ways with wine and roses. That one would surprise me.

The best high school baseball coach in Middle Tennessee is Chandler Ganick at Brentwood Academy.  He was a 3 sport athlete (Football, Wrestling and Baseball) in high school and played college baseball at Lipscomb.  Yes, I understand that this will be his first season as the BA head coach but how many state championships did BA win before Chandler Ganick became the top assistant at BA.  The answer is ZERO!  IMO, Brentwood Academy had the option of making him the head coach or watching him leave for another job.  Did Lipscomb Academy talk to Ganick?

I will take Richie Estep. Multiple state title winner.

I can answer a few of these.

The head coach has the final say on his assistants.  As long as there is a teaching position there that can be filled, the headvoach gets someone whom he feels can do the job.

The administration is very big on discipline.  Gallatin has always been big on discipline and there are plenty of examples.

The football program gets x amount of funds and then generates their own money.  They use it as they see fit.  The QB Club is there if they need something extra.

I do not know how assistants are paid or what you can do to compensate them.  The TSSAA has a rigid criteria on what you can do and can’t do and these rules have to be followed. You don’t want to get into anything like Blackman did a few years ago.

I know most of the coaches I have talked to loved the tradition rich school.  They loved the practice facilities and weight room.  The offices are in great shape and the locker room is too.  The fieldhouse has been renovated just this year at the stadium.  Also the QB Club is very active and your support structure is in place.  You have a stadium dedicated to football only, no it is not on campus but that adds to the allure and nostalgia.  How many places are playing football on the same field 100 years later?  Gallatin still is!  You have a hungry fan base and traditionally great team support.  I am sure there are other things like the businesses that feed the kids and such.  You also have a radio station dedicated to live coverage of your ball games.

Is Charlie Jackson still on the staff there?

  4. When you enter a co-op agreement you forfeit the right to have your own team for a period of 5 years. you can't just decide to not play one year and co-op and then take your team back the next year.

Basically if you tried that you are telling the next 5 classes minimum that you are not playing for your school. Plus I doubt they would allow it. The fact that Van Buren has no field/stadium and probably 200 kids would  be a red flag for sure.

    AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Got a witness Brother.

Especially so if you get turned down by two out of state programs and ONE private you sued because you could NOT beat them.

Never happen. The reason he was looking out of state and private is so he could double dip his retirement. With Alcoa and Smith County he would still be on state retirement time. He is not the  type to take a pay cut. His ego will not let that happen.

I was told TCStinger passed away. Him and Goat were some of my favorite people from the T. We met at Slick Pig in the Boro back in 2010.

TC Stinger did indeed pass away. Great guy.

This really sucks for the Overton kids.  If I'm not mistaken,  these two teams had a fight last year that ended the game in the 4th qtr.  My question is how long will the head coach last. Because regardless of saying the kids did it. Behavior, and controlling behavior starts at the top

If the fire your coach, who are they going to get to work over there nununu? How many coaches have yall had the last 6-7 years anyway? Nobody wants  to go to LA now.

Pearl-Cohn started their co-op partnership with MLK in 2009 I believe.  Prior to that all of the MLK kids actually played football at Hillsboro.  Hillsboro went to the Blue Cross Bowl several times with some MLK kids on their roster.

East Nashville now has a football program but when they didn't have football their students played football at Stratford.

I have no idea where the young men from Hume-Fogg play football.  Perhaps someone can help me with this.

LEAD Academy charter school co-ops with East Nashville for most sports except basketball.

Each school can only enter  a  co-op agreement with one school.
