  1. CCS must be glad their game with Notre Dame is at Sequatchie, and not in their tiny ballpark. Sam Eberle can hit it out of CCS field one-handed. He will probably be limited to only 2 home runs tonight....but it will be enough. Go IRISH!
  2. I agree. Sam Eberle will lead ND to state. Anybody reading this from other parts of the state, all I can say is, back up...and wear body armor if possible. He is amazing. Anyone who puts it down the middle is asking for trouble.
  3. Nope. broadbat aint a Red Bank guy, but I am. And I agree with him on this one. The coach should have given his team a chance to win.
  4. Wonder if Ooltewah remembers district tournament 2004? I guess not!
  5. I heard that Ooltewah people are already reserving hotel rooms in Memphis for the Spring Fling. I think that's great. It's nice of them to drive all that way to cheer for Red Bank!
  6. Red Bank will go all the way. Even if Henry isn't pitching his best, there are several others, including some freshmen who can. I'd love to see the mighty Owls and Trojans try to hit against 9th grader Brandon Ward. That would be fun. Prepare to be amazed. I just saw the latest poll on chattanoogabaseball.com, which doesn't even include Red Bank in the top 10. Keep on dreaming, dude. Red Bank has already beaten about half the teams in the so-called top 10, and Ooltewah is next. Red Bank could beat Baylor, every year, but for some reason Baylor won't play them. Wonder what's up with that?
  7. The true top 10: 1) Ooltewah. No doubt. 2) Baylor. Best pitchers. 3) Walker Valley. Lots of talent 4) Grundy Co. Good every year. 5) McCallie. They'll come around, they always do. 6) Red Bank. Temporary dry spell this week. 7) Hixson. Will their players come back? 8) Cleveland. Kind of up and down. 9) Soddy. They'll sneak up on you. 10) East Ridge. Better than I thought they would be.
  8. Nope. 2 guys, same computer.
  9. Good point. Grundy and Marion are mixed up. I think Soddy's better than a lot of people think.

    Hixson

That's funny, I thought MG was a baseball player. At least yall used to claim him.

    Hixson

Oh well, Hixson is # 1 in something after all: Suspensions! Between last year and this year, seems like the Wildcats would learn to stay out of trouble if they wanna play ball!
  12. Red Bank dominated Notre Dame 6-0 on Saturday night. The Lions smacked Notre Dame's ace senior pitcher, who easily beat Soddy Daisy earlier this year. It was a big night for Beau Geren and freshman outfielder Brandon Ward, each with 2 hits and 2 rbis. Junior pitcher Aaron Allen blanks the Irish on 3 hits. Red Bank's defense was perfect, while Notre Dame made 6 errors. Red Bank goes to 7-3 for the year. Watch out Ooltewah, the Lions are on the way!
  13. Not to take anything from Ooltewah, but it must be an off-year for Rhea County. This is the same team Red Bank beat 22-0 in a scrimmage a week ago.
  14. I noticed the Times Free Press didn't even mention Red Bank in its preview today, focusing on some of the other teams. I think it's funny that the Lions are "under the radar" this year. That makes it easier to sneak up from behind!
  15. hiway 58, I think Red Bank will win this year too, but you have to observe the rules of this message board. 1. Never pick Red Bank over Ooltewah in anything. 2. Never disagree with nokona or grad, or they'll whip out their SAT's on you. 3. Never, ever imply that Hixson can't stay on the field against AAA teams. If you'll observe these simple rules, we can all get along.
