  1. Jake had 12 3's with the most of them in the first half. All starters sat out some of the 3rd and all the 4th along with liberal subbing the entire game. CPA had 18 3's and Cascade had 11. Kudos to all the Cascade fans. They were very nice and complimentary of the CPA team and extremely supportive of their kids from beginning to end. They were quick to talk basketball and were the friendliest opponents I have ever encountered. Good job Cascade Champions!
  2. Since they keep score isn't winning the objective?
  3. What keeps this topic so hot is those that make the allegations with no knowledge. I have a family member @ CPA and have seen some comments directed at him on how he ended up at CPA. Strong insinuations he was recruited. I know the story of how and why he got there and it did not involve CPA or anyone associated with CPA. In fact his interest in CPA was actually triggered by people associated with BGA. If people would quit accusing schools of inappropriate behavior based on rumor and what they see as "common sense" this problem would go away.
  4. kbrks, I believe your interpretation of the rule is flawed. You are looking at the words without any regard to common sense application. In your interpretation since I once had children at Brentwood High School and still support the football program if I were to tell a co-worker with a son at Franklin I thought they should find a way to get their son into BHS I have broken a rule. I have been/am indirectly associated with the school therefore I am recruiting. I believe the rule is meant for someone in an official capacity at the school.....not to necessarily be misunderstood as someone under the school's employment. All laws/rules have underlying intent/spirit that can be misunderstood by strict wording interpretation. It is apparent TSSAA has always chosen to apply common sense in their interpretation. As for DS I'm sure some interested fan/parent of some private school had/has commented on his child and he should be proud of their apparent athletic ability but I wonder why he is desirous to put down another school's program. Especially one that has been so closely scrutinized as CPA's without recourse.....other than rumor and innuendo of course.
  5. He only had 4 points at the half....a 3 plus a free throw.
  6. After 23 lead changes CPA goes on a 30 something to 9 run to beat Peachtree Ridge 86-62.
  7. You beat CPA and the state champions? Then obviously you are cheaters!
  8. I have been around the program for 4 years and know the kids' history. If you have proof of recruiting bring it out or shut the heck up. The starters played less Saturday night than any other game this year. There was a running clock in the fourth quarter. Go back to peewee ball and enjoy your life.
  9. Devil...you are amusing. Ignorant, but amusing.
  10. I wondered when you fools would show up. We have missed the "court jesters".
  11. Richard plays this week. Howell maybe soon.
  12. Great hustle and effort by all CPA players tonight. Manuel was the only fb player dressed and he is doing a great job. They outplayed Mitchell in all categories.
  13. All but Parker I think are on the "to travel list". For CON901 I think CPA actually plays Briarcrest Friday night.
  14. With that much playoff experience they have a chance.
  15. I'm a firm believer in playoff experience. What is LC's playoff history?
  16. Congratulations to Coach Crawford and his team. I have always said he may be the best playoff coach in Tennessee.
  17. I know nothing about Cane Ridge but CPA looks awfully good so far. Saturday night they were special.
  18. Believe it or not but sometimes the kid looks at the environment, education, and post grad law school opportunities. Unless they are a high percentage NBA possibility where they are for the next 4/5 years can be important to them.
  19. Being a loooong time BHS supporter I was really torn on this one! The play calling by CPA was disappointing. Richard needs to touch the ball at least a dozen times. The Dback covering him had a 9 yard cushion. They need to move him in a few yards to get him the ball quicker and let him play in open space. Good job CPA! We don't know how good BHS is but they are a 6A school with an excellent program.
