True we are losing a lot of talent out of this senior class, but its not exactly like the cupboard will be empty the next couple of years either. Losing the linemen will be the biggest hit, but we do have Bice, Dotson, Noel, Mason Stevenson, Dylan Smith, and so on coming back. I hope its just a rumor since Coach Pemberton has done so much for our program. I agree with Gov91 why in the world would any coach want to go that disaster at Powell.

Knox West @ Rhea County! The Veer vs The Wing-T. This is a good matchup between to very good teams. Rhea just keeps winning and proving people wrong. West is a great team with a phenomenal running back in Cottrell and very good QB in Marshall. Like others have said coming to Rhea and our enviroment is very tough to play in, but should be a good one to watch.

Great game Oak Ridge that was a fun one to watch. Once again, Eagle Nation came out in full force that visitor side was packed and loud. OR you have a very good team and it was a lot of fun playing you guys. Hopefully we will see you again next year in the playoffs.

Great football game tonight.That was a great atmosphere and crowd. Jaylen Woods is hands down the best athlete Rhea has seen this year. Lenoir City gave us a good game but now it's time for Rhea Co-Cleveland

Actually Rhea County never had a JV game scheduled with Warren. We were suppose to play McCallie tonight but we did cancelled that game. It's in a Rhea County's program and on the website that we were suppose to play McCallie Oct 21 I'm not sure why it still says 2012 but it's the 2013 schedule. http://rheacountyfootball.com/schedules_4.html

The Eagles head over to McMinnville this Friday and look to continue the dominance of district 6 AAA. The last time Rhea went to Warren Co, it was an offensive shootout of game back in 2009. Rhea will pretty much wrap up the district championship friday with a win. Thoughts on this game?

Rhea just got bumped into the district when Coffee Co. left district 6 and East Hamilton moved up to district 5. I was told the TSSAA wanted more balance, since district 6 only had 5 teams while district 5 would have had 8 teams. I had heard that back when the TSSAA went to the districts format that Rhea wanted to be in district 6 but something happened and they stayed in district 5. From Rhea Co High School to Cookeville it's about an hour and half. Which is the furthest drive for Rhea on the schedule except for maybe Warren Co. The rest of the district isn't too bad of a drive Cumberland and Stone are just a 1/2 an hour and White Co. is a little over an hour.

Rhea County makes the trip up the plateau to Cookeville this Friday and for control of the district. Whoever wins this game will probably be champion of the district. Thoughts on this game.

A rivalry renewed after 6 years.Thoughts on this one?

Yeah the slow start really hurt , but after the slow start we looked pretty good. The offense is definitely ahead of the defense right now. The kicking game looks promising this year. I was really impressed by Noel Patterson in the scrimmage it looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. The offense in general looks like we are going to be able to put up some points this year. The defense just needs to keep working, They had some bright spots but then there was some areas that need some work. I agree getting Jenkins back would help a lot on both sides of the ball. Farragut looked better this year too. The scrimmage tomorrow is going to be a good test for us. Notre Dame is a very good but young football team returning a lot of players from last year's quarter final team.
