  1. What time are the championship games on Thursday, both boys and girls?
  2. indeed title IX does NOT cause the 1 million dollar loss, however, it does seriously add to the problem. the article in the bristol paper said it would take $400,000+ to equalize the male/female scholarship ratios that is required by title IX....
  3. ......you go to sporting events and constantly look at strangers you walk by thinking, "i wonder what his username is....."
  4. things have been going well for you guys in the conference. but let me give you one bit of advice....although everyone should have a long term goal of going to the state (and even of winning it), baseball, and sports in general, are about the smaller goals. the kind of goals that cause the larger goals to take care of themselves. for example: improve every day, look to the next game and win it, win the conference, district, region, etc., etc....these type of goals keep things in perspective but still lead to your ultimate goal if you can achieve them..... trust me. no one has ever won a state title by dreaming JUST about the state tournament. i'm not saying that this is what you're doing, but i just wanted to throw that out because doing that causes you to get knocked off early....take care of business daily and see what happens...that's when you start to meet and exceed goals... just some friendly advice. go rangers!
  5. As a fan I always liked "Right Now" by Van Halen. As a player I honestly don't remember what we warmed up to, and it's not because I am too old. I just never payed attention to any of that. The game itself was enough motivation. I think these things are just part of the "show",- more for the fans than anything.
  6. I have quietly watching CoachT, reading these threads. They say a lot. You love basketball- that is plain and that is good. But one team seems to interest you more than any other, although you won't come out and say it. So I just want to ask you- how are things in Church Hill?
  7. what are you talking about, warningtrack? you should enlighten us. I've heard for years that Happy Valley counts their 9th graders in with their middle school numbers. Lots of places have jr. highs that are 7-9. This keeps their numbers lower so they don't move up to a higher classification. Am I really the only one who has heard this?
  8. Correction, Sportswriter. That would be Happy Valley 584 in grades 10-12. We all know about this little trick, don't we?
