  1. Thanks -- I am interested in the boys scores. Would like to know Tullahoma and Cornersville and the rest of the boys scores.
  2. If anyone knows all the scores from the tournament at Richland High School, could you please provide an update here. Thanks.
  3. I believe the original question was about the coach and not the players. The question is wanting to know for example, if a coach of a middle school girls team in the Fall can coach those same girls in the Spring as their select coach. Did not see anything in the TMSAA constitution or by-laws to prohibit that. However, might want to check with the State office for sure. On the other hand, if your school is not a part of TMSAA, then there is no problem.
  4. I reffed since (well, let's just say a long time ago). i took a hiatus from reffing when I was coaching at a High School (my AD told me I needed to quit reffing because he thought it was a conflict of interest). However, since I quit coaching a few years ago, I started reffing again. Man, have things changed as far as administration, assigning, reporting, etc. Now, on this reporting stuff. Two kids got in a fight last night and each received red cards. They deserved it. I asked about writing the report and the ref supervisor and the State supervisor both said that reports do not get written on pre-season games. So, other than losing playing time during that game, their is no punishment for fighting during the pre-season since the State does not want it reported, etc. I thought that was not sending the right message. You can fight or do anything else that gets you a red card but as long as it is pre-season, there will be no punishment. Like I said, not what it used to be years ago with a different admistrator in Gene Beck. If something like that happened, it did not matter pre-season or whatever, you reported it and he wanted to know about it. Oh well, "... the times they are a changing." (Bob Dylan)
  5. Any old time Tullahoma sports fans ever remember a time when the Tullahoma men's basketball team lost every game in a season? What are the prospects for a turn around of the program in the future?

  7. Not likely. As a Coach, I got a red card after a game and did not know about it. Now, how about that? My AD told me that I got a red card after one game. I said, "For what?" He said that the ref came to him after the game and told him that he was going to give me a red card for "cussing the AR after the game." I told him that is insane and I did not do it. Here is what happened. After a heated game that we lost in the last second 1 to 0, I am in a huddle with my guys talking to them. One of them tells me that the ref is yelling at me. I look up and this ref is yelling, "Coach." I told him that I did not want to talk to him that I just wanted him to get his butt of my field. That's it. I found out later that he was yelling at me because they had not been paid yet by the booster club and wanted their checks. The next day my AD and I had a conference call with TSSAA. They had contacted all three refs. The center ref and the other AR disagreed with the second AR and had told the State that they thought that I did not even deserve a yellow card much less a red card. The folks at TSSAA also agreed that the situation did not deserve an ejection. However, when they talked to the AR (Yes, the AR and not the Center ref -- I always thought that the center ref could over rule the AR) the AR insisted on staying with the red card so they were going to support him. So, I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. The other two refs (including the center) disagreed and TSSAA disagree but I still had to pay the $250 fine and sit out being suspended. What is funny is that later the AR who insisted on me getting the red card called for a meeting to apologize to me for over reacting and losing his cool and saying that I did not deserve the red. Did I get my $250 back? Absolutely not. I was to consider it a donation to the TSSAA scholarship fund. So, I lost $250, got suspended, and got my picture splash on the front page of the local newspaper about getting kicked out of a game that I did not get kicked out of, I (yes -- I) had to write a letter of apology for my actions to the School Board and promise it would happen again, etc. So, forget about trying to find justice with TSSAA. Not my experience.
  8. No one needs to apologize and I don't think that anyone meant anything demeaning by what was said. I am just trying to get info on a group of ladies that I have worked with in the past and followed their progress. Most of them are Seniors and I was expecting very good things of them this year as they have played together for a long time. Coachof3 spent a lot of time with them as their coach at the Middle School and as their select team coach and did a great job of teaching them the fundamentals as well as exposing them to a higher level of soccer. That was something that was missing at Warren County for a long time. Namely, a feeder system to the High School. This should have been their year with the athleticism and soccer talent they have being the best to hit the High School in forever. Yes, I heard about the injuries and also that one of the seniors decided not to play this year. I was surprised by that because I felt that if she wanted to, she could have been picked up by some college and have played at the next level. I think that rather than have a post or forum for scores if we could just get people to post the scores on the scoreboard and keep that updated, that would solve the problem and prevent the unnecessary posting. Thanks.
  9. I did look in the "Scores Forum" before creating the post and I looked at the "Scoreboard" also before creating the post. The score was not in either place. The reason that i created the post was to see if someone out there knew the score and would post it because it was not posted anywhere else.
  10. Anyone know the score between Warren County and Independence?
  11. Does anyone know what happened to the Coffee County player towards the end of the game? It was a lateral out to the side lines and then the guy threw the ball down field. He was hammered hard just as he released the ball and laid out on the sidelines for a long time. Any info on his condition is appreciated.
  12. "Yert." Now that is hilarious. Only if you know something about White County would that mean anything to anyone. I think someone should make up T-Shirts with "Yert" on the front them and then sell them at the front door of the White County gym. Nothing insulting intended as I have several friends from White County and they told me story behind the word "Yert." Ha ha, needed a good laugh to start the morning.
  13. My comment was made from the perspective of a ref. I ref and in our State meetings the State administrator has strictly told us we are not to declare a forfeit or a winner. We can call a game as in end it due to unusual cicumstances but we are not to declare a forfeit at the game. The circumstances are to be reported to TSSAA and they will decided the forfeit and the outcome. That has been our instructions for years.
