    Vapors

The vapors are good shoes. I'm sure there are more durable ones out there but these things are light, have good touch, and are easy to manage.
  2. The Division 2 final rankings are accurate

    State?

Farragut is going to take it all the way. I heard they beat Maryville.

    State Results

Webb aint got nothing on Catholic or Farragut.
  6. Farragut is the best in the state. They were unlucky this year losing to West. They played terrible and West played there best. Farragut is coming for the title next year. Also look out for them Irish. They are huuuuuungray.
  7. Yeah besides Farragut and BEarden and what i thought Hendersonville and Brentwood, AAA is terrible. D2 is good across the board.
  8. Good of everyone to try and make excuses of how we could possibly have won the game, but the fact remains that we did. We were the only ones. Jumparound they didn't seem all that tired as they kept pase up and down the field, as a matter of fact they looked about as fit as when they played you all the night before. Also we had 2 pks. Both were deserved and one of them was almost a curse, because as the ref made the call the ball had gone in the net for a goal off the field. Either way you look at it we still handed it to them. They were not as special as everyone thinks. Their skill was exceptional but their backs were vulnerable to speed which we had. We just countered and they couldn't run with us. Thats all I got for now. Countrypk I'd double down on CBHS too if I were the pope and maybe even three or four times if they were playing you.
  9. good call riegel but i think that score line would read more like 4-0. PSAFour your team has a good side so don't count yourself out of the state run yet. But yes you may be right, the Impact is your only state loss in 3 years.

    Division 2

Your picks are all solid PSAfour except I don't know about Phillip as a forward pick. He didnt seem all that great when we played Baylor, but he might have played better in other games. Also Trey play great in goal, but Daniel Sheridan for KNox Catholic played very good as well and with the two wins over McCallie he may get the Keeper nod, but either one would be a deserved pick and the other would for sure get second team.
  11. U-17 Impact is definately the favorite, but any team is capable of winning on any given day. Dont count anyone out.
  12. Seldon, our game with CBHS was 3-2, but anyone there knows that CBHS clearly had more shots possession etc. I'm not trying to start an argument. I'm simply stating that CBHS vs Farragut/Bearden would be great soccer, because they are just as good a team. Do you have a problem with a D2 team being in the same league of talent with FHS? Whats the problem with people stating another quality team. By the way congrats on your state title.
  13. Look for links to Nashville area clubs in the membership list for the Tennessee State Soccer Association at www.tnsoccer.org. If you turn 18 August 1st or later, you're looking for a U-17 ('86) team that's moving to U-18 after August 1. Good luck.
  14. The issue is not whether Knoxville Catholic is as good as Farragut or Bearden, but rather is CBHS? I think they are. This year had my team played Farragut the score line would not have gone our way. But like I said this is not about Knox Catholic and Farragut, but now it can be. Play us next year and let's see how the teams match up. Until then.
  15. dcprimus saying that Bearden and Farragut would destroy CBHS is a complete exagerration. Farragut, Bearden, and CBHS are in elite company. All that is trying to be stated is that CBHS is just as good as either of those two teams. I don't know why the AAA guys say that CBHS would be killed by Farragut and Bearden, but they are absolutely wrong. Being physically stronger does make a difference which FHS and BHS have the edge in, but skill makes a difference too which CBHS has over everyone in the state. All that is being stated is that CBHS is just as good as FHS and BHS. Don't get defensive just because a D2 team is considered to be as good as a AAA team. Congrats to all three teams on a great season.

    CAK

This is not to take anything away from CAK. They work hard and they won the state and no one can take that away. Opinions are opinions however, for all the CAK fans and people can put whether they thought they were the strongest team or not. So what if people feel you were dominated, you put it in the net. By the way I play for KCHS and lets not bring up the last two meetings between us, because you know we're both very capable teams. Good luck and I'll be seeing you next year.
  17. i agree with you 100%. Farragut was the best team this year and winning 3 out of 4 games proves it. those remarks were uncalled for regardless of how he thought. The fact is that the new format was designed to make sure that the best teams made it to states and in Farragut's case it did while a few others fell. I think those comments are ridiculous and childish. It just makes himself and the program look worse. What did Bearden want? A walk through and another joke of a AAA tournament in which they have no competition to win. That is ridiculous. It has been obvious all year that the two best teams were Farragut and Bearden and them meeting through the new format in the finals proves it. Great job Admirals and great job as well to the Bulldogs. You both had tremendous seasons. While the article was not the best, everyone still has to give Bearden their props.

    CAK

To win any soccer championship you have to be good, healthy and a little lucky. I saw both CAK and CCS play this year (played CAK and watched CCS play Dalton). Both teams are very talented but I would have guessed CCS had the edge in overall talent and speed. But the fastest and most talented team doesn't always win. Hard working teams kind of can make their own luck. I didn't see the A/AA finals, but I know CAK is a well-coached, hard working team. Congratulations, Warriors on winning States. We'll get you next year.
  19. I agree with TackerDad. Pinrocker, the fields were not "crap"--the grass surface on our field (#13) was cut near perfectly and you'd expect some dirt patches on most fields after a Spring season like Tennessee just had with all the rain. What field are you used to? It must be awesome. In East Tennessee you can count the number of fields that are better than or even the same quality as Mike Rose's size and condition on one hand. Webb's field (when dry), McCallie's field, Baylor's field, CCS's main field all are great and definitely measure up. There are a few good surfaces on football fields, too, (including Catholic's and Bearden's) but they aren't wide enough for good soccer. Most of the fields we get to play high school on are pretty weak. Also, there is no decent complex in all of East Tennessee that could host Spring Fling. Even Finley Stadium had to have part of it's surface painted green last year because of wear from a lacrosse tournament or something. There were several patches without grass on that field last year. It's a great field but you can't have three 8 team tournaments on one field. With or without a few dirt patches, the Rose fields are superior fields to play soccer. I've played there at least once a year since it opened and I'll admit I've never seen them as worn as they were for Spring Fling, but it's still the best soccer complex in the state. Yea, the trip was very long, but until someone steps up with a complex in Nashville, Mike Rose is the best place for soccer in the state. I don't know why they didn't use the scoreboards. They did last year for the DII quarterfinal between MUS and Knox Catholic. I hope they are ready in a couple of weeks for the DI State Championships.
  20. Congratulations to the Admirals and the Bulldogs for fantastic seasons!
  21. Farragut wins 3-1 in overtime
  22. MY mistake. Farragut was up 2-1 then Aaron Doyle scored to make it 3-1. then Bearden had a goal called back so its not 3-2 it is still 3-1.
