  1. Rowsy should be in. She is one of the most dominating players in West Tn if not the most dominate. I have seen her play once and I have seen Cavin play several times. I will give Cavin credit where it is due. She is a great ball player and is a good person off the court, but there is a reason she is only going to tech. For her position, she is slightly limited in some areas where as Rowsy is the complete player for her position. I will say that these two, however, are probably the two beat players in AA ball this year. It will be interesting to see who wins that award in late March.

    fastest 40 in state?

Just wanted to add to what I posted earlier. When I was timed by an NFL scout my first time was a 4.58 and my second was a 4.52. This was on grass. What that would be on a track I don't know but I know it would be faster. The scout said I could take about .1 off to get an accurate idea but a team might take up to .2 off to release on my stats. That is what an NFL scout told me so everyone can base what you run on that. As far as NFL guys go, I was backup to Ron Dixon of the New York Giants when I was a freshman and I remember him running for scouts on a track and leaving there mouths hanging wide open. He ran a 4.18 followed by a 4.21. What is amazing about Ron though is that his grass time isn't much slower. I beleive he ran something like a 4.29-4.33 range on grass. He is definitely one of the top 5 fastest guys in the NFL. It was a great privelege to watch him play in college and learn from him. [Edited by lu82 on 5/3/02 2:04A]

    fastest 40 in state?

A few weeks ago I was in a combine and I was talking to a guy from Dallas. He said that no one runs under a 4.4 on the field. If someone says they do they are lying. This is coming from a guy who has been timing people for over 10 years. He also said that the way most people come up with there 40 time is they subtract .2 sec when they are timed on grass and that will give you an idea what you run on a track. So most often when a person says they run a 4.4, they were most likely running a 4.6 on grass. [Edited by lu82 on 5/3/02 2:00A]
