Here is the deal. Ever since July, I worked my butt off. I did nothing but give 110%. I gave Lebanon High School Baseball all I had to offer. A couple of months into the program Matt Spurlock quit the team, and did it more than once. After this I continued to give my heart and soul to the program. Well wouldn't you know it that since Matt's brother is the coach, he gets back on the team. The funny thing is, is that now he was gonna start over me. Thats crap. I walked out of the program for myself. I've got better things to do with my life than to watch somebody play who didn't even work for that position. I know that I may have not been a good pitcher to some, but I did work and should have gotten playing time. I heard the other day at the Mt. Juliet game that Ben Spurlock was put in left feild. I also heard that that was the first time that Ben had seen outside of the dish in like 3 or 4 years. On the bench you had Nick Norris, William Winfree, and other players that at least play the out-field. Why not give them a shot. I know Nick got kicked off the team but by god I could tell that he wanted to be out there. Whats the point in putting a catcher in left field with a hurt arm when you have 2 or 3 guys that play the outfield with fresh arms on the side. I'm a senior this year it's time for me to start thinking about my future. I'm not going to travel with the team to sit the bench and keep books when I can be home getting my future in line. I walked out for the right reasons. So don't even give me any crap about it.
