  1. Good Luck to all the girls on the Brentwood Blues who will be traveling to California for the ASA Nationals this next week!!!! Do your best and know that all of us here will be cheering for you and hoping that you finish at the TOP!!!!
  2. This is in reply to BASERUNR. My daughter played with Megan for many years and she is not a pitcher that would ever try to hit another ball player. She has too much respect for the game and is a very kind young lady. She is a very good pitcher but if you are going to crowd the plate you should also know that you will get brushed back by good pitchers. Sometimes the ball gets away from you and the batter will get hit, it's all part of the game. I understand that since Megan is such a good pitcher that she will be the target of comments such as yours and that also is part of life, unfortunate as that may be. Megan will do fine in Knoxville, I don't think you have to worry yourself about that. Congrats to the Lady Mustangs on a great year.

    Allison Tyree

Congratulations Allison, hope that you make it to state this year and win it all! You are a very talented pitcher and a great kid. I know that some may not put you as one of the fastest pitchers but you have always been one of the most effective pitchers and a great competitor. Good luck this summer, Jenni and I will miss your great sense of humor

    Micky Smith

Mickey Smith from Chattanoonga is going to start giving hitting, fielding and catching lessons at Future Pros in the Rivergate area starting in December. He was the coach of the California and Chattanooga Cruisers for many years and is an excellent instructor. If you need more information please contact Future Pros at 615-851-4444.
  5. The Brentwood Blues won the 18A State Championship 6-3 over the Firebirds.
  6. Mynameis My daughter played with Megan and I can tell you that she is still a great pitcher after 2 games. As was stated in the post by slr52 she had 3 tournaments this past year that she pitched 3 games and was just as hard to hit in the 3rd as she was in the 1st, ask the girls that faced her I'm not sure a post on "who is the best" can be settled. It all depends I think on who you see more often. My daughter plays on the Brentwood Blues and they have 3 great pitchers, Megan Rhodes, Allison Tyree, and Kari Gore. All of these girls are great and all have different styles to offer depending on the team they are facing. I'm just glad we are on the same team as these 3 girls instead of playing against them
  7. As to WatchOutYall, it would seem from your other posts that you know a lot about Hume Fogg so I'm wondering why you would ask a question that you probably already know the answer to. DL has not played Hume Fogg this year but I'm sure it will be a very good game between 2 good teams. DL played a very tough game against Beech on Friday after being off for a week of Spring Break, they lost 2-1. Losing to one of the best teams in the state in a higher division than you play in is something to build on not to dwell on and that is what DL coach will do.
  8. YES Lipscomb was that GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Mustangs!!!!!!!
  9. Megan Rhodes is definitely one of the best returning pitchers in the state. Not only is she one of the best pitchers she also has a very good bat.
  10. I would have to agree with sbcoach that Natalie Brock should be added to this list. She played a great 1st base at the Nationals, pitched great, and hit the ball very well. She is also a great kid, keep up the good work Nat!

    David Lipscomb

They did lose a few good players but with one of the best coaches in high school softball they will be ready for this next year.
