biazz, Thanks for the run down ( and of course, to you as well HVol ).....and as FA15 says....they will play the team in front of them. Good luck to all.

biazz, Do you have a handle on the seedings for Dist 4? I know the season is not done, but are 3/4/5/6 determined yet?
  3. Steven Hahn pitched for the Admiral's....unoffical - 5 innings, 3 hits, 5-k's, 61 pitches. An excellent command of all his pitches today - except 1 that he left up for lead-off HR by Lane....after that he did not let them threaten. Hahn could easily have finished but Cobb and Waldrop pitched 1 each - 3-up-3-down - for tune-ups. Chittum pitched for Halls and did a fine job...6 innings, 5hits, 0-K's.....the plays were made by both teams all day. It was a well played game by both teams - 0 errors. The Admiral's scored all 3 in the 3rd taking advantage of their opportunity when it afforded itself.
  4. I agree the field in in great shape. Last year it was sad, but our team played on it last summer for AAU and it was in great shape and they have maintained it all year.
  5. HVol, No it was S. North. It was 15-1. My bad with the 1 when I called Coach T, but I'm pretty sure I said North. 12 hits, Drew Reagan hit a Grand Slam.
  6. A couple of things that have not been elaborated about Craig 1) He is an extremely smart pitcher and knows his opponents, 2) He is, as someone said last year, "a warrior" he want the ball in the big game. He is not going to blow everyone away with the bigtime fastball pitch after pitch.....but his array of pitches and and speeds is ala Greg Maddoxish.
  7. I agree 100%. I am proud and happy to have my son play for Coach Pharr and the Admirals'.......and by the way, my son is one of the leader's on the team in the "freakin's & stinkin's" catagory. "Play the game!"
  8. It's true it will be along way for E. TN. teams.....and I would have preferred it me more central in Nashville/Murfreeesboro, but our team will go to Tim-buck-too if necessary. It all about being there!
  9. Thanks Tigrofan......I know exactly where that is....behind the police building. Just did not recognize the names.
  10. I didn't think Autozone or Millington were going to be available. Also, does anybody know what part of town Sowell Rd. is in or where Gaglino Park is located? Is the old "Chick's" stadium (Tim McCarver) still playable?
  11. gameday.....and all other Admiral fan's. HVol "is" a Farragut supporter. I do believe he has been the source that provided the initial information for your "national" recognition. I know he has seen the Admiral's play in person on several occasions. His son does play for another school, but there is no stronger objective advocate for high school baseball and the players around here.
  12. I would say they did. Josh Bird started out alittle rocky for WB, but settled and had a some good innings. Both teams played all out, but knew that tomorrow's game is the one that really counts. I'm not sure who the Admiral's will throw as neither #1 or #2 threw this week-end.
  13. biazz, No disrespect taken.....with these fellows playing so well, their challange is to stay focused. Contests like last night's are true ( and hopefully clear) signals that they should take no team lightly. Wests hitter's stepped up last night....no "Texas Leaguer's" from them last night. Good luck the rest of the season.
  14. In no way did they or will they ever.....you were there, did you see anyone lay down? I think what FA15 is saying (although I would never try and speak for him) is that as the year progresses teams are getting better and playing at mid-year form......and playing the full 7 is a "good thing" for the Admiral's.
  15. And kudo's to a fine West team.
  16. HVol is a respected and and appreciated ally of the Admiral's. I will be happy to stand in for him in his absence. [Edited by SoupKitchen on 4-16-03 12:10A]

    new top 10

Fellows, Stop worrying about ratings.....let's just see who is in the post-season.....that is what will tell the tale.
  18. It's official....postponed. Replay date not yet set that I know of. The Admiral's are trying to schedule either Heritage of Bearden for Sunday at 3:00. South-Doyle rescheduled for the 30th at 6:30 @ Farragut.
  19. South-Doyle canceled till 4/24 @ 6:30 @ Farragut.
  20. HVol, Thanks for the help with the recognition.
  21. Rollredroll, Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know that....the Knoxville papers have said nothing about it

    Farragut

Tonight district game with Heritage put off to Thursday. Tomorrows game with Halls is cancelled - a non district game - and is quite possibly gone due to both teams needing to play district games....who knows, maybe the coaches reschudle, but why would they with as much rain as is forcasted the next few weeks. So, for The Admirals -Wed=South-Doyle, Thur=Heritage, Fri=Bearden, all district contests. GO ADMIRALS!
  23. Sounds like a hard fought ballgame....and yes, playing the younger fellows now does strengthen the team come tourney time.
  24. Let us know what went on today......Good luck to Karns.
  25. Kevin Cummings and his cousins from thunder treated him rudely. As for West TN and Middle TN, we hope to give them every opportunity in Memphis in May.
