  1. I believe! I believe in the boys and the coaching staff when the two work together great things can happen. Good luck Ridgeway lets leave 4A the way we left 3A STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!
  2. What a great game. Hardin County came to play and have some outstanding players but Ridgeway wanted this one and played hard to come out on top. Good luck Ridgeway and be ready for Haywood next week.
  3. I think the answer to that is the coaches were CBHS and Melrose coaches for the West team so I guess their players wanted to play for them.
  4. What a great game to watch. Memphis' talent showed and the coaches did a great job of getting everyone in to see the action. Brett Russell TE for the West and a Memhis signee really dominated his end of the line. On one of Bell's runs Russell was down field opening up the way. He also had a couple of great catches. Way to go West Team.
  5. That makes alot of sense but let me add another note: While playing in Munford last weekend they hit I think 4 HR's of course a father of ours added that thier fence is shorter then ours and those would have been caught at our school. I laughed and said, "Yeah and did you see the little man everytime we got up to bat crack the fence back so none of our balls could go over." It is amazing how people can make up excuses about everything.
  6. Does any body have a schedule for this weekends games in Covington?
  7. Well you said it upper 80's to 90's fast ball is pretty good. The thing about it is you saw him three times and only 6 batters even touched the ball. One pitch away from a perfect game with the walk going 3-2. If it had been against a slack off team it wouldn't have meant anything but you guys are the State Champions. And if you can use the excuse that it is early in the season you have to admit someone who has been throwing for only a couple of weeks (had to wait for basketball to end) that was a darn good performance. Besides he is a football player just passing the time until August. I wish Ripley the best and hope they can keep the State Title in our part of the state. They played great against Ridgeway just had the error in the end. Great game and good luck this season.
  8. Will Hudgens from Ridgeway threw a no hitter against Ripley 2003 State Champions Monday night. 14 strike-outs with one walk in the 6th inning. His team helped with making 6 put outs from, catching fouls on the fence to routine ground outs. Way to go team.
  9. I don't know the final but Ridgeway lost by about 11. White Station controlled the whole game.
  10. I guess everyone has their own perspective on the game. You were right about it being physical the refs never had control of the game as far as the elbowing but don't act like JNS wasn't right in their doing their share. As for Rice that play he went up for a rebound got grabbed and elbowed and returned the elbow that #11 had thrown then #11 (sorry don't know his name) returned one back with a few words and got a tech called. The game was one of the most excited and congratulations to Northside for lasting and pulling it out. They are a very good and physical team I wish them the best in the rest of the season. Ridgeway will host a tournament after Christmas but I am not sure who all is playing.
  11. Ridgeway will have a chance to redeam themselves against JNS Friday night at Ridgeway. The last game was a close loss for Ridgeway and I know they will be pumped up for the rematch. Go Ridgeway show them how you can really play.

    David Wolke

Wolke had some trouble before the season something about a fight with someone and his old girlfriend.
  13. Brett Russell Tight End of CBHS should be added to this list. He has offers from Memphis, Southern Mississippi, and is going to visit Ole Miss. Good luck to him and the entire class of 2004!!!!!
  14. Thanks for all the responses I wasn't why Shelby County got left out. So now all I have to do is call the commercial appeal tell them to start covering about 100 more games so our boys can get recognized on the West Tennessee team. The commercial barely mentions the so called area teams as it is. Well when the CA best of the preps list comes out in a couple of weeks I'll make sure and post it so our boys can get their names on here.
  15. How can this team be called all West Tennessee and not include Shelby County? Doesn't make sense to me but then again I guess that Shelby County has enough good players to have their own team. Sounds like the ugly step sisters and Cinderalla Shelby County gets picked on by East Tenn., Middle Tenn., and now West Tenn.lol
