Do we know when/where the game will be played?

I am not sure who you are thinking about..but I am postive I haven't been to any games. My job nor my family permits me to take off on a weeknight to travel to Jasper to watch a softball game. Don't get me wrong I would love to..but my patients would probably wonder the next day why I am so tired.

It is a figure of speech..and all I meant by that was there isnt any need to blame others for mistakes. No one can say they havent made errors this year-so why is it always the underclassmen who get blamed? I havent been to any games this year, but I have heard through the grapevine of the bickering in the dugout. It is quite unecessary.

Good luck in the tournament ladies....do your best--Seniors remember--when you point fingers, you have three pointing back at yourselves.

A bit off the subject, but speaking of tournaments..does anyone know if MC is in the Franklin Co. tournament this weekend? If not, are there any games scheduled?

That is the best thing that could happen this year. The girls need stability. Good luck with the rest of the season.

I believe they are off until the next Tuesday. I don't know whose decision this was, but this would have been a great week to get some games in or at least more then 2 practices.

If you are talking about district tournament, isn't it a little early to be making predictions? I dont' know about the Chattanooga teams, but you can never tell what is going to happen here in the valley. Doesn't Marion play ND on Monday?

Does anyone have times for these games? Does it start Friday or Saturday?

Great game ladies..Franklin is a tough team to play, especially 1st game. My hat is off to you..

That isn't going to do anyone any good. The teams needs a stable coaching staff. David, Darryl, or whomever it may be...needs to appointed now to set to tone for the whole season.

Yes, she is a junior...and no, there is no "I" in team, but there isn't a "WE" either. I agree, Kilgore is a good athlete, and showed a lot of promise in basketball...all I am saying is that she is one of two pitchers. If I recall correctly, a few years ago when she didn't get to pitch against SP, the next week she was gone to another school. If this happens again, and we have to pull Jenn Spangler from 1B (i think) what then?

Maybe not...but she doesn't have the best record for stability....

I have seen both seniors play in the past, and yes they have a great bat...when they are "hot." From what I have seen in the past, both players are very unpredictable. Paris is very strong, when its her pitch. Spangler also is a great hitter, but again, when its her pitch. Neither player likes to hit the outside pitch, their stance doesn't lend itself to get to the outside pitches. Now onto Kilgore. How is still eligable to play. The girl has switched schools so many times in the past--from Grundy to MC to Whitwell and now back to MC...whats next? I just hope no one makes her mad and she leaves again...That has seemed to be the problem in the past. I am in no way downing Coach Laws, I just think she has a chip on her shoulder. I also agree that neither Darryl or Brandon should be in the posistions they are in. In my opinion, Darryl would be a much better coach than Brandon. He knows the game and has a passion for it. Not saying Brandon doesn't, but he tends to be a little on the follower not leader end of coaching. I, too would much rather watch a fast pitch game any day of the week. It is just hard for past players to watch a program you have played for go down. I do wish the team good luck!

I think MC has more to worry about than their pitching situation. They have a very young team ( 5 freshmen I think, 3 of which may start) Hannah Layne (freshman) could be their strongest player. She is very versatile and her bat is VERY strong. Another worry they should have is their coaching status!! Since Gatlin got hurt, who will fill her wanna be big shoes. Should be an interesting season. My advice, watch the boys before the girls. They have more promise!!
