to all the ladies from hermitage springs...i know how disappointed you guys are but i have to say that you ladies showed that you are a great team and have great sportsmanship always ......on the field as well as off.....i personally feel you desrved to be on top you played like winners you are winners.. hardest fought games we had to play all year .......and i know i speak for all the monterey people when i say you are truly a class act.......not to mention your a young team and are gonna make it just as hard on all 7 a next year.........good luck seniors in whatever the future leads you to ..and looking forward to more great games next yr from the rest of you ...

no muffin i sure wasnt heard it was a great game though ..congrats to the rbs boys team hard fought win ...dont know the final heard it was by 1 rbs though...

redboiling defeated picket at 12noon game .. dont know the score clay county beat clarkrange at 2pm game .... dont know score .. monterey defeated hermitage springs 2-0 and redboiling was beating clay co 4- 0 in the 2nd inning when i left .. winner of rbs and clay co play hermitage springs tomorrow at 1 pm and winner of that plays monterey for championship thursday at 4 pm........and theres a 6 pm game slated for thursday if needed,...... good luck to all throughout.............

coach 15 are you referring to the one that says district 7 who plays who...if so i was more concerned about a full bracket of what seeds and loser brackets..

can anybody provide a complete bracket for 7 a thanks .....

oh and the score ended in last game as 7- 8 win for dekalb co

cant remeber the first score muffin it was a dbl header.......second game went into an extra inning with score tied 6-6 we were pitching third string pitcher and the moved there big dog back in we scored one more making it 7-6 we didnt make change back to our starting pitcher and walked the tieing run and winning run in and i think their second hitter laced one in center winning an otherwise great game played by monterey........first score was like 8 -1 was 1-0 thru out 4 innings ....good working game before districts...but was holding breath not to get anyone starting hurt....hey good luck in the districts...!

you know the play was confusing ,as well as .un timely... but it was also unusual.....the ump admitted to tripping the second baseman...not that he just got in the way... or impeded a view..it was physical contact.. the rules dont seem to address that i know which is what makes this call frustrating...both teams battled hard...neither have anything to be ashamed of...we all witnessed the two best in 7 a....in my opinion...great job both teams......!

jennifer schlienz has 2 over counting the fact that boyd christain doesnt have a fence 1 was there more than 200 ft and 1 at home...counting infield she has 7..shes from monterey 7 -a and shes a sophmore ..first yr starter

LIVINGSTON PLAYED TWO GOOD GAMES...COGRATS TO THEM.!.WE DEFINATELY SEEN WHERE WE NEED TO ADJUST AND IMPROVE...THATS THE WHOLE POINT IN US PLAYING DOUBLE A TEAMS...IS TO GET BETTER.......NOT TO MENTION 2 STARTERS WERE OUT LAST NIGHT AND A FRESHMEN AND SOPHMORE RELEAVED THEM..BTW GREAT JOB TIFF HARRIS AND LINDSEY WELCH...! BUT NO EXCUSES AND AS FOR C RANGER.......I WAS AT THAT GAME ..THE LAUGHS YOU HEARD WAS COMING FROM SOME YOUNG BOYS IN THE CROWD ..DEFINATELY NOT FROM COACHES, PARENTS, NOR PLAYERS........I WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER ANY PLAYER THEY HAD BEEN DOING THAT ......( I CAN DO THAT SINCE HAVE COACHED MOST OF THEM IN THE PAST)....IF THERE HADNT BEEN SPORTSMAN SHIP ON MONTEREYS SIDE THE SCORE WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH HIGHER AND GIRLS WOULDNT HAD BEEN HELD UP ON THIRD......THATS WHY THERE ARE MERCY RULES.......PLUS THE UMPS WOULDNT HAVE NARROWED THE STRIKE ZONE FOR THE MONTEREY PITCHER DOWN TO THE SIZE OF A CRACKER BOX.......I, AS A PARENT AND COACH DID GO TO YOUR DUGOUT AND RELAYED A GOOD JOB MESSAGE TO THE COACH AND PARENTS AFTER THE GAME AND EXPRESSED MY UNDERSTANDING OF YOU GUYS YOUTH AND INEXPERIENCE ..WASNT TOO LONG AGO MOST OF THOSE GIRLS ON MONTEREYS TEAM WERE INTRODUCED TO THE RIGGERS OF FASTPITCH...EVERYONE HAS TO LEARN AND TAKE THEIR LUMPS..ITS PART OF THE PROCESS...I ADMIRE YOUR COACH FOR WHAT HES TRYING TO DO....BUT BEFORE YOU SAY WE ARE NOT SPORTSMAN WAIT TILL YOU GO PLAY AT SOME OF OUR OTHER OPPONENETS SCHOOLS I THINK YOU,LL REEVALUATE YOUR COMMENT....

yea ..she was rbi leader on team last year... even though shes small, pretty descent stick.. should have some good hitting all the way around this year...lot of young talent on team that has worked thru the feeder programs here that worked on hitting...we were hot with the sticks last year until we had all the rain the week of the district tourney which postponed it a week then when we needed the sticks the most they disappeared ... ....lol.. but they ve all worked hard. looking forward to seeing how that translates to the field this year ...if the dreaded rain doesnt hold us off today should have a good dbl header against LA today at 4 30 in monterey.....

yea crazy vol fan walker is pitching for monterey......she pitched some of what few jv games we had. she started third base since her freshman yr.....much improved and has worked hard in off season should only get better.....

muffin seems to be the only one with any softball knowledge here it seems......lol... thanks for your confidence muffin.... should be some good games....

monterey did win 20 -0 mercy rule in 2 innings..... monterey plays ,at the moment ,on the mens field(p&r field) on railroad ave. one street over from school...new field next to school should be ready sometime after spring break. they scrimmage upperman wed and play a double header against livingston academy thursday at 4 30 in monterey....... like to say good job lady cats ....season will not get easier ....play hard and i myself have all the confidence in the world you ladies will do great..... good luck against LA thursday.....!

glad to see there is already some excitement, energy,and attiude flowing in district 7 A.........just to let everyone know..this is a shout out from....MONTEREY.. :justwrestle: ...sorry but no wildcat smileys..... gonna wish all the girls in district GOOD LUCK ....! looking forward to a great season, which to me ,because of the losses within the two top teams and the ever improving hermitage springs and addition of clarkrange...should make for one of the most interesting and most competitive seasons ever in 7A..... not time for dissing of any team , each team needs to be confident and proud of their schools just as each team has to overcome and adjust to each teams loss of senior players from a year ago... cant blame any player, parent ,or coach for being partial to their home teams, as one should, so ...gonna wish my LADY WILDCATS FROM MONTEREY....GOOD LUCK......!!!!!!!!.. i have apersonal interest in this team not only cause my two daughters play ,but have coached most of the girls in summer and fall ball...( you know who you are.. proud of all of you.. ..! and i hope theres not any monterey girls on this thread dissing cause hopefully they are practicing not talking................
