A good coach is someone who can win year after year. Bill Satterfiled has done that at Greenback. Just look at the stats.

In the Semi's, i like Greenabck vs Boyd Buchanan and Mt Pleasent vs USJ In the Finals i like Boyd vs USJ Boyd State Champs What are other opinions?

Sweetwater This would be a great schedule, because you keep the region rivals and add some of the bigger local schools for the gate. This will never happen, because the WB's and Heritages of the world do not want to get emabarassed by a single A school.

Well slsears, i went to greenback, played football and basketball there, and i try to keep up with them. Actually, i must be honest my pick is biased because i live in GA now and have only seen Greenback once and i know nothing about Midway.

Hate to keep bringing this up, but Greenback lost to CAK in the quarters last year and to Cloudland 2 years ago. They beat one of the Greene co. schools in the 1st round, oneida in the 2nd and then lost to cloudland in the 3rd or quarter finals. Greenback will win this week by 10

HMMMMMMMMM how about last year when they lost to CAk in the Quaterfinals or 2 years ago when they lost to cloudland in the quarters. If you are trying to compare Greenback sucess the past 5 years to Midways, then you are only helping my argument

SLSears how can you say it is time for caoch Stterfiled to hang it up. The man wins 8-10 games a year and will do it this year. Greenback will be in the quarterfinals of the playoffs as always. So if making it to the quarters and semi's every year are signs of it being time to hang it up, then coach satterfield should have quit along time ago. My opinion is that as long as his health is good, i'll take those wins every year.

Why is Everyone is calling this a rivalry. Sure the teams have played each other for many many years, but a rivalry is much more competitive than this one has been over the years. Midway has competed in recent years maybe winning a couple of games, but since the late 80's Greenback has dominated this series and it will not change Friday night. CAPP are you kidding me (midway is better coached) Coach Satterfield has won more games than the school of midway has in its history. I do not think Midways coaching will win this game for them. (i am not saying Midway is not well coached, but they are not better coached than Greenback).

Sequoyah vs Greenback?

I agree. Seq. is not any good, they have had 1 good year since the school was built. Jones is the most overated player in the area and their region is the weakest in the state. Greenback aka THE NATION by 2 touchdowns.

Greenback will run on Seq. THey will throw on Seq. They will do what ever they want. THey are better coached and they play harder than the boys from Seq.

NWTENNSPORTS, if you can come to Elberton, GA on OCt. 8th to the Granite Bowl you will see the greatest rivalry in the state at the greatest stadium. 15000 strong will watch Elbert vs Hart.

I think that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. For you all to say that high school coaches are overpaid is ridiculous. First of all, they are the best influence a high school kid can have. They have the responsibility of not only winning football games, but also being a role model to their students and and players, and being that role model is the is worth all the money they get. They also have to deal with people like you who sit up in the stands and critize every move they make, when you know nothing about football or the time that the coaches put into the program. I do not see you watching the film on weekends and developing a game plan. How would deal with a kid coming into your office and crying over playing time. If coaches are anything, they are underpaid and underappreciated.
