I have a question for principals and coaches. Has anyone ever heard of a high school or a junior high school auction off most of its sports trophies (and I am talking about district and conference championship trophies) to the highest bidder? Is this something that is common or a new trend or what? Here in Manchester the administration at our junior high school attempted to do just that. Thankfully they were stopped just in the nick of time. Is that kind of like selling your heritage, or your soul?

crazymom: If you will reread what i said, you will see that i never said the games mean nothing; what i said was that in the scope of things, they don't mean a lot. I suppose everything in this world means at least something. So in the future, please try to quote or paraphrase me correctly. Softball is fun and important to a lot of people, but it isn't gonna save the world, or your daughter's life.

ANYBODY that is so far out in left field to not realize that high school sports is anything but a game must be a real goon. Sorry, to be so hard on you and I really don't have a dog in this fight but for an SID at Grundy Co. High you really do need to get a life and realize that life after high school sports goes on and most of those girls are gonna forget about it and in ten years won't remember you or Boyd Christian. Because in the scope of things it don't mean a lot.
