  1. Jamie Graham of Whites Creek has to be considered. He averages over 20 ppg in an unselfish role as leader of a top team. Where he has hit 30+ on several occasions, he also managed to break the single game assist record. Big Time Player
  2. Does anybody remember Hume-Fogg 01-02? Easily one of the best HS boys basketball teams in the history of this state! Useless trivia information: One of their players is signed to Cash Money Records as a recording artist, All Star.
  3. If Hume-Fogg plays from the inside-out instead of settling for jump shots early in their posessions they will beat MLK.
  4. I wasn't commenting as though the 2nd meeting was a blowout, I was saying the first meeting was an UPSET. Hume-Fogg led the entire game before the player for Station Camp was injured. When play resumed Station Camp played with way more heart and emotion. Could anyone tell me how that kid is doing? (the one that got hurt in the first game)
  5. Hume-Fogg with two starters ineligible for the rest of the season is still prime to make a run at the district. The first UPSET loss to Station Camp was a result of a 2 minute lapse. Just as the UPSET loss to East Lit. I think they will prove their worth in a rematch with East Lit. as they did with Station Camp. I read a post about two weeks ago that had them picked to finished 7th. Are you kidding? I think this team will return to the District Championship where they've been the last two seasons. Top 2 at worst. Renfroe is the MVP of that district.
  6. I'm really lost as far as the relevance of the last 10 posts to the original topic, but coachkev made a great point that for all of the ranting about the Travelers' "greatness" it has built upon Middle TN talent. I think more should be said about programs like the Memphis programs and the Thunder programs that have traditionally gathered players from their local areas and coached them into good teams rather than just "recruiting" good players and creating all star teams. I'm not arguing for either side but the whole AAU/traveling team scene has turning more into politics than just basketball. Which is ideal for message board debates, but when it comes down to it some of these arguments will never be settled because half of the elite teams never get to play each other. and a side note to David Palmer (Raphael), I wish you the best, but I dont want to hear you bragging because I remember your football days when you were more than humble. And don't' forget when I posterized you at the Y.(QB #12)
  7. why did the midstate ballerz forfeit their last two scheduled games?
  8. Janet Jackson's "would you mind" gets me up... but i don't know about for a basketball game. I also like Kilo Ali's love in your mouth
  9. I thought the thread was about MLK Vs. Hume-Fogg. I agree that MLK will EVENTUALLY make it, but this year its more likely that Hume-Fogg will go further. They have leadership within the team, behind Senior guard Brandon Harriford and that team is a big time threat. They were only two games away last year. In response to the earlier comments, I agree that Lipscomb should be in the argument, but neither East nor Portland. Hume-Fogg only beat East by 30+ points twice last year and they lost their best player Chase Watson. Likewise Portland lost their best player Corey Brewer I hear. So just like last year I think it will be a 3 way struggle between Hume-Fogg, Lipscomb, and MLK, in that order.
  10. well, like i said congratulations.
  11. What do you mean you don't have the same name or funds as some ot the other teams. Your team, the nets, are in the same boat as my team, the Thunder, we just have a reputation because of our past and present accolades. Some of the other teams, maybe, but don't try and get anyones pity. Congrats on the 4th place in YBOA, and also congrats on the 6th place in the Central South AAU SUBSTATE. John, had you not jumped ship from the Thunder to the Ballerz and then to the Nets, you might not have had to play YBOA.
  12. From the mouth of Derek Thomas, #44 TN Thunder, "I have not played football since my 10th grade year, and I did not turn down a football scholarship to LSU."
