I heard that the District 15A tourney is at South Fulton this year. Is that correct? Does anyone know where the Region 8A tourney is at ?

I'm not sure why all this Gleason bashing is going on. I don't see the Gleason faithful knocking Trenton, Dresden, Huntingdon or any of the other teams in the area. Gleason is for sure a good team in NW Tenn. The best? Well, we will see come tourney time. Youth can be both a strong point and a weakness to any team. Huntingdon and Trenton, are probably the top picks right now, but you can't count out Gleason or Dresden. Both teams are very talented and coached particularly well. These teams will probably be in the region final four. Yes, we're aware that Huntingdon put a good beating on Gleason at Huntingdon. But, didn't Dresden beat Huntingdon? Didn't Gleason beat Dresden at Dresden? It's too bad that Gleason and Trenton don't play in the regular season. I think there are several good teams in this area, any one of which could beat the other on any given night. Thats my two cents. Good luck to all the area teams.

Who does everyone think is the top Senior Girl Tennis players in the state? I guess you can split them by class.

I agree that Randy Frazier from Gleason is a top coach. Don't forget about David Russell (formerly of Bradford). Gosh, how many state titles has he won at Bradford.

I heard that the young lady was a sophomore at Summertown and had been having difficulty breathing. Vandy docs diagnosed her with an extra rib. On Monday she got really sick and passed away. All I know is her first name was Jade. What a sad situation. We need to remember her family during this difficult time. [Edited by bcwildcat on 5/23/02 10:37P]
