  1. Sevier County will absolutely not suprise anyone tonight, Farragut is way too strong to be beaten by the Smoky Bears. This will not be a contest. Steven Hahn is on the mound tonight and he will control the game in the Admiral's favor. Expect Jimmy Kelly to hit for fences tonight. FHS by 20.

  2. I agree that it will be a good matchup between these two baseball powers. McKenry will be back, he is off the injured list as of today. It might take a week or so for him to return to form, but he has about a week until that game so i think he will be up to full speed. I haven't seen Maryville, but have seen Farragut outscore capable opponents 57-8 over 3 games. This, in my opinion, is very impressive. I think of all the teams around here, Maryville could probably give them the best run. I'm not trying to take anything away from Maryville or any other area teams but this a a powerful team that has no real weaknesses, look for them to go far.

  3. umm i will apologize for my last post....my acquired the knowledge today that most likely neither cobb nor bowman will be pitching in this weekends farragut vs central match-up due to cobb pitching in the next weeks district games and bowmans suspension for the first two games for wearing improper headgear to school.

  4. At farragut high school, son of university of tennessee's coach rod delmonico, tony delmonico will be making a big impact this year and especially in years to come. he is a well refined baseball player as expected with so much experience around college baseball his whole life.....he is developing quite well into the farragut program and has shown a lot of power from both sides of the plate, plays real well at short-stop b/c of his glove and amazing arm, and is a developing but good right handed pitcher

  5. In what is the best 5A region in the state you have Oak Ridge at 6-1(4-0), Farragut at 5-2 (3-1), Ooltewah at 5-2(3-1), Soddy-Daisy at 5-2 (3-1), and William Blount at 3-4 (2-2). All these teams are capable and would would make the playoffs in any other region. Remember OR, FHS, OHS, and SD all have to play one another in weeks 8,9, and 10. Who comes out on top and who gets left out?

  6. I agree that Sweetwater is a great team, I did rank them lower than they actually deserve in the poll i put out yesterday. They are much better than what a 2A school normally implies, they could beat most schools in the larger classifications in E. Tennessee. As for Farragut, I don't think that Sweetwater would just hand it to them, Farragut is much improved on last year's team. That team is what everyone thinks about when Farragut is mentioned and this year's team has to play their way out of that. I think up until now they have done a great job of it. Farragut and Sweetwater would be a great matchup as would Sweetwater and Maryville. As for Caligula, all he has is bad things to say about Farragut, maybe because he is a little bitter over a win that FHS had over Bearden in week 3. As for talent, Maryville, Farragut, and Knox Central are three of the areas most talented.

  7. Here are some rankings that I think are pretty accurate for the Knoxville area.

    1. Maryville 4-0 (4A)

    2. Knoxville Central 4-0 (4A)

    3. Farragut 4-0 (5A)

    4. Anderson County 4-0 (3A)

    5. Fulton 4-0 (3A)

    6. Powell 4-0 (4A)

    7. Oak Ridge 3-1 (5A)

    8. Sweetwater 4-0 (2A)

    9. Austin-East 2-1 (3A)

    10. Kingston 4-0 (3A)

    11. Greenback 4-0 (1A)

    12. William Blount 2-2 (5A)

    13. South Doyle 3-1 (5A)

    14. Oliver Springs 3-1 (2A)

    15. Jefferson County 2-2 (5A)

    Honorable Mention: Halls 2-2 (4A), Karns 0-4 (5A),

Not so Honorable Mention: Heritage 0-4 (5A)

Somewhere in a green pasture playing with butterflies: Bearden 1-3 (5A) :D

  8. Well it looks like all Admirals in this matchup, my pick is Farragut 42-17. The Admirals look great after wins against arch-rival Bearden and defending region 2-5A champs McMinn County. The Admirals are looking to be 5-0 going into their big region stretch. Go Admirals.

  9. Dirtydawgs44, first of all I don't have your sign, but if I did I wouldn't bring it back. Second of all I had nothing to do with the "got hair" incident, but if I were to write something on that rock it would be more like "GOT WINS?"
