I personally didn't know Coach Brown either, but from what I gather from all the posts, he was an excellent person and a good influence on the boys. I agree that Macon Co. citizens should be able to vote on who they want to run their school system. This is not the first person that Prock has "run off" from Macon Co. schools during his reign as superintendent. I know of at least 3 or 4 more. How long are the citizens going to have to put up with this? He needs to open his eyes and see what he is doing to the school system and the students at both Macon Co and RBS. He needs to realize that he was put in the position that he is in to help better the school system, not continually keep a fuss going on. Maybe he is the one who needs to RESIGN from his position and let someone who really cares what happens to the kids step up and take over. NUFF SAID

They have pride, as they should have. They have had a great season and we expect to have a even better one next year. 0-10, 5-5, 8-3 - who knows what next year will bring. We're proud of Coach Jones and all the Central Football players. Hold your heads high because you've had one heck of a season!!!!!!!!!

Blu, I don't know who you are or where you're from, but I agree with TNSS. Your statement was really stupid. Coach Jones brought Central from a 0-10 record 3 years ago to playing in the playoffs for the past two years. Even if they lose to Maryville, it's not going to affect who comes back and plays for him next year. He is a very dedicated coach who has EARNED the respect of his players. If they lose to Maryville, that's not going to change. If fact, his team next year will have more experience and could be even better than this year.

I hope the Pounders can pull this one off. Whether you win or lose, just remember, you've had a great season and should be very proud. You've come a long way in the past three years and should continue to improve. Put your heart and sole into the game Friday night and you should do well. And Coach Jones, keep the guys motivated like you have all season. I know you will. It's not over till the final buzzer goes off is the philosophy you've had all year and although you have lost some games, you've fought to the end. Good luck on Friday night. I haven't seen Powell play or heard much about them, but I'm going with the Pounders. They have worked hard all year to get to the playoffs and with the exception of a couple of bad games, they have done very well. I have to agree with purplepounder on this one, all year everyone has talked about how central is so classless, but you don't see them throwing punches and fighting with the other teams. By the way anspa, the remark you made on one of the other posts that got closed you said I must be the mascot or something for central. Not Quite I don't even live in Chattanooga, I live about 2 hours away. I just think that the central purple pounders have a very good team and are coached very well. Oh yeah, I almost forgot everyone was saying central was classless, not purpleponder for what he was saying on here.

First of all, if purplepounder wants to post on here, HE WILL!. He is just posting his opinion like you are. Get over it! Second, I would say Central has more class than anyone if ya'll can't do anything but get on here and start trouble. Third, Coach Jones would not allow any of his players to spit on any other player. Last but not least, it does not matter that "everyone" in chattanooga hates central, all that matters is that CENTRAL WILL SHOW WHO IS THE BEST AND HAS THE MOST CLASS IN CHATTANOOGA. Sorry guys, but I drove 2 and 1/2 hrs to watch this game and I think Central outplayed Cleveland 2 to 1. Yes, Barber did have some outstanding stats, but Central defense held him a lot better than anyone expected, especially with their no. 1 MLB out. The scoreboard at the end of the game said Cleveland but watching the game, it was all CENTRAL! With three TDs called back for penalties (which in my opinion was some screwy officiating), they just plain outplayed the Raiders. I realize that it's all over now and Cleveland officially got the win, but the Pounders have absolutely NOTHING to be ashamed of. Hold your heads up high and win the rest of your games and we'll all look forward to the rematch come playoff time.

I'm going for Central by a TD. Coach Jones has really got his Pounders motivated and ready to play. They have already had a pretty impressive season. They'll be ready for Cleveland. Good Luck Pounders!!!

I hate to hear about the injured player for Central. It'll be tough if he was the motivator of the team like everyone says, but I still think Central can pull off a victory. They just need to regroup. They have a lot of talented players who will be able to step up. I say the Pounders by 6. Go Coach Jones!

You can bet that Coach Jones will have the Pounders pumped up for the game, just like every other game they have played this year. The Central crowd will be into it even more with it being homecoming. Pumped team and pumped crowd - Central by 7 is my prediction.
