Ollie has a outstanding sense of humor, a good thing to have if you're a Clinton fan.

I don't normally dis other teams, but I couldn't resist since Ollie took his shot at AC. Coach Shattuck and his staff will do quite well.

.....and Clinton isn't even rated.

How did Cocke County beat Carter? Central will win this one big.

In east Tennessee I think the 4A schools are as strong as the 5A schools. The Maryvilles, Clevelands can play with the ORs and DBs. All the rest put them in a bag and shake them up and they all are about the same. There may be more 4A schools that are better than the 5A schools.

Do you think the fact that Sullivan North is moving up will have an effect on where Carter goes? Is it possible they could be put in that region?

Sequoyah had better bring their lunch because they are in for a long night, the Loudon bunch will fight you. They may not be big, but they play tough and are well coached.

Coach Davis is a very good coach, but I guess you're only as good as your last win.

Greeneville lost theeir first two last year and finished the season with only four losses and those came at the hands of state runner up Mo-West in the regular season and playoffs. They are very capable of doing at least as good as that. They have some good looking kids and I think they have aquality coach. They just schedule very tough non region opponents in Anderson County and Central. I look for them to win big against Crockett.

Campbell County has won more ballgames lately and I think I know why. They have a pretty darn good tailback and decent coaching. Before they had pretty good players but no coaches. Take Steve Pebley, for example, he wasn't much of a coach, but he sure is a good sports writer for the local paper. I'm glad he's found something he's good at.

AC surprised even their coaches with this performance. Work in the weightroom, an unselfish and nasty attitude combined made for a great win. These guys need to keep all that in mind everyday if they are going to keep a good thing going. Greeneville is a quality program, this was a big one for AC.

Tribe, Central's defense isn't good enough for them to be #1. They certainly have some talent, but it's on the offensive side. I know it's not the scheme either, because they have had some suffocating defenses in the past.

Anderson County is physical, ask Greeneville.

AC is supposed to be in a rebuilding mode, they are awful young and inexperienced at several positions. Last night was a great start. They dominated Greenville the whole game. AC has a chance of having another great year if they keep trying to get better each week. Carden, Mount and Surface looked awesome running the ball behind a tremendous effort by the offensive line. Folck and Ross played great defense.

Lenoir City and Loudon are gone after this year. Who 's gonna take their places in the region? Carter? Will they move someone from Region 1?

Riverrider is correct. 4Afan, the students who attend the vocational school from AC are included in the enrolllment figures that are sent to the state.

AC will be young. But if scrimmages this spring are any indication, they will still smack you in the mouth. No stars, if they get it done it will be a total team effort. Best of all I like the attitudes. It's good to see Olhickory back on the web sharing his insights with the rest of us.

Sequtchie: You say "enrollment numbers on this website". Where? Has a list of current enrollment figures been posted anywhere? I thought they weren't coming out until around July 15th? I'd kind of like to see a list if there is one already compiled.

Lets give qbdad a break. He's a proud dad and from what I hear and read his son is a pretty good qb. Let him toot his horn and enjoy this wonderful time in his and his son's life.

Does anyone know when or if TSSAA has taken enrollment numbers for classification purposes?

A walking encyclopedia on the wing T. Enjoyed spending time with him a few years ago when our staff went to him to get some ideas for our offense.

Maybe, maybe not. But one thing you can be sure of.... they will hustle, play with self-discipline and make AC proud.
