  1. Easy on Coach Harrell. He is Clinton,s best coach in my opinion.
  2. AC and Farragut. Two programs run with a lot of class.
  3. I heard they offered him the job and he turned it down.
  4. AC won't hang their hat solely on Josh Wilson. While he is definately going to be a playmaker, I can see Blakely, Hicks and McCoy getting the ball and being big concerns for the opposition. The Roberts kid could be someone else that has the ability to make some plays. The key is the development of some unproven talent at QB and on the line. From what I saw at West the QBs have some potential. A couple of freshman (sophs to be) could bolster the line play (Lawson for sure). Long ways to go, but I see some good things ahead.
  5. Defense wins championships. Its hard to outscore people every week.
  6. I know what I would expect if I was a Clinton Fan- a defensive shutout by CHS and an offensive showcase by CHS. You guys are loaded!
  7. I thought AC looked extremely good for only three days outside. The key returnees from last year picked up where they left off. What was encouraging was the play of several freshman (sophs to be). I also thought the QB's came through, considering none have had any varsity playing time. Good Job Mavs!
  8. Hadn't heard that. This from pretty reliable source?
  9. Before you blast me, let me say I've been told by someone I trust that Coach Brewster should be the next man But the coach from Clinton is David Marsh. Good coach. Told by Clinton people he fell in love with Oneida the first time he was up there.
  10. The principal is friends with a lot of football coaches. Friendship? The principal and Larry Kerr have been friends for over 30 years. So if the job was based on friendship.........?
  11. While I agree with your sentiments regarding TL, I think you are dead wrong about Josh Kerr. Josh took a job at a school that isn't a "football" school. While he was treated good by some, he didn't have the overall support needed to make that program a winner. Josh is a good coach and an even better person. You are dead on about Coach Lambert though.
  12. Who are the unemployed and what did they coach? Areas of certification?
  13. Politics did not play a role in the decision. Several of the applicants for the job were friends or former coaches or players who have relationships with the decision makers. This hire was made on the basis of who they felt was the very best coach available. This is no reflection on any of the other hard working coaches who received consideration. This includes Josh. He is a good coach and a great guy.
  14. I can't answer all your questions because I don't know all the answers. I do believe that the decision makers at AC made the decision to hire Coach Lambert because they believed that he was the best possible hire that they could make.
  15. Obviously you have strong feelings on the subject. I also happen to know that the two were looking each other in the eye today. I guess we will have to disagree. Have a nice day!
  16. Ahh.....but he did play. Call another well respected east tennessee coaching legend....Jack Diggs, former Scott Co. coach and he'll tell you what kind of player Coach Lambert was.
  17. You seem to know a lot about Coach Lambert, but yet you really don't if you believe these things you are saying. I know him almost as well as anyone. Coach Lambert has never taken the easy way on anything. Whatever his previous experiences in football, I can tell you he is one heck of a coach. Larry Kerr put the defense at AC in his hands in 97 and he ran it till he left in 04. He worked, he motivated, and he earned the respect of not only the other coaches on the staff, but coaches from programs all across the state of Tennessee. Call Coaches Kerr, Rankin, Pemberton, Daniels, Coatney, Courtney or any other well respected coach in the state and ask them about him. Call up any former player and ask them how they would run through a wall for him. Ten minutes with him and you would be sold on the man. If you really have a kid who wants to play football for an outstanding coach, you won't look back. That's a promise.
  18. I think that Coach Brewster is an outstanding coach and if the powers to be select him as the man, it will be a great choice.
  19. This coach never applied for a job at AC, and I would know. This was not meant to be a slam at anyone at Oneida. I have the greatest respect for Robert Wright, Jim Burchfield and John Brewster. Coach Marsh has done an excellent job at Clinton. I had heard through the rumor mill that perhaps he was applying for the job. Just wanted to see if there was any support. Not trying to tell the good people of Oneida what to do. No offense meant.
  20. All of AC welcomes Coach Lambert and his family back. I know he had a lot of mixed emotions about leaving Oneida, he left a great school, a lot of good help and friends. He has hit the ground running and hasn't let the dust settle under his feet. He will have an enormous impact on not only the football program but the whole school and community. I can't think of a better choice to succeed Coach Kerr. kcscoop- Lawrence says to tell you we need some sausage down here.
  21. How about Richie Marsh OC at Clinton?
  22. Its no secret that Coach Kerr and close friend and coach Elwood Pennington are going to start a program at Lake City Middle.
