Portland down by 11 at half time rally back and defeat the David Lipscomb Mustangs 58-54. Corey Brewer and John Fergsuon played really good. Brewer had 27 points and 9 rebounds and John Ferguson had 20 points and 9 rebounds.

Portland Pulls off their biggest win since the early 90's defeating Macon County for the first time since the early 90's. Portland will advance to the finals on Sat night.

0 shots taken in the fourth quarter. MLK held the ball for more than 15 mins in the game. MLK got the ball to open the fourth quarter and just passed the ball around till about 2 mins left. They continued to hold the ball til the panthers fouled them a few times to about 10 seconds MLK makes the move to the basket and Travels with 1 second left and the Panthers get it in and thats the final. Ferguson led the Panthers with 11 points and Corey Brewer with 8 points. Johnny Lee had 12 points for MLK.

A good game by both schools. THe intensity was really fun to watch. The Mustangs hit 2 key free throws with 6 seconds left. ANd they remain unbeaten. John Ferguson had 27 points and Corey Brewer had 19 points.

THe Panthers trailed as much as 11 in the fourth quarter but rally and its in OT 47-47. Brewer Fouled out with 57 seconds. I will update this in a mintute as soon as a final.

This should be a good game. I think Portland will step up to the plate if everyone is healthy. I dont think they will have all the troops tonight. If you go to the game you might be surprised who doesnt play tonight for Portland. I know that they have a sickness going around the team and they prolly wont be up to par tonight. It should be a great matchup. Coach Kington doesnt get a lot of respect on this board but he does a very good job and was one of the best coaches in the State of Kentucky for many years. Coach Roller does a great job. I love watchin the chess game these coaches do against each other. Everybody knows if DLHS gets a lead at all the will sit on the ball and make u come out and challenge there guards and they will make u breakdown on defense for the wide open layup. THats something everyteam has to face when they play DLHS.

MLK played a great game but I think Portland would have been a different team with Brewer playin the entire game. Every few years MLK has a good Freshmen recruiting class and the guards they have are really quick and they really impress me. Corey has the flu or a stomach virus i would say he played probablly 6 mins of the entire game. But I think things will happen for Portland in the Tournament.

The Portland Panthers improve to 8-0 after defeating the Goodpasture Cougars 59-55. The Cougars were down by more than 11 points and cut the lead to 2 points, but the Panthers hit key freethrows down the stretch. The Panthers were led in scoring by John Ferguson with 23 points and 8 boards and Corey Brewer with 18 points and 7 rebounds. THe Cougars had great efforts from Beaty and Daniels. Beaty had 18 points and 8 boards and Daniels had 16 points and 9 rebounds. The Panthers will play tomorrow night at 8 30 in the TRI STAR tourney in Gallatin.

The Panthers win big over Westmoreland 69-40. The Panthers were led in scoring by Corey Brewer with 27 points and 7 rebounds. John Ferguson had a nice game with 16 points and boards. The Panthers start out 1-0.

HoW ABOUT THE fact he has been playin some of the top players in the country and was selected to play in the All AMerican camp he also played in the Nike all star camp. You have to remeber he is just a JR and averaged 17 or 18 points a game and is very athletic. He can jump out of the Gym and had a long arms and rebounds good. He played really good against White Creek in a scrimage on Thurs.

I really think that Portlands John Ferguson and Corey Brewer are both underated. John visited a lot of camps this summer and played good and Corey Brewer's stock has skyrocketed and is being recruited by about everyteam in the country.
