I dont know about region4fan, but i hat smyrna with a passion. They talk alot of stuff, not on here, just their players do on the field and in the paper, and it seems like they are always making excuses for how poorly they played. If your a good team, step up like men and say yea, we got our teeth kicked in.

oH yea, no question. He is better than any of riverdales backs, and rico turner. Rico is afraid to take a lick. He dances out of the way on offense, and on defense, he ankle dives. Whereas grimes on the other hand, runs through people and falls forward for extra yardage. On defense, grimes leads with his face an will come up and hit you. so, yea, no question he is the best.

Grimes has over 200 yards rushing, and the wolverines hold shs to minus yards rushing. LHS passes all over the secondary of shs

Blackman will probably go to the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs, bu they arent good enough to go any deeper than that. espically if u get them away from home. they dont play nearly as well on the road as they do at home. but i would say 2nd or 3rd round. i dont think they could get past any team in their region again if they meet in the 2nd or 3rd round. which is where the would meet.

I had to go to page 10 to dig this one out because it is a necessary post in East Tennessee for the week of Oct 21-25. Due to ETEA (in-service day) in many East Tennessee counties on Friday, several games will be played Thursday night.

I predict the Blaze will take it to the dawgs. Too much Rico for them.It will be close, but everyone knows that Smyrna will choke when it counts. Blackman just gets the job done . I predict 28-BHS to 21-SHS.

 

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Smyrna has been kicking butt this year and so what if they haven't all been extremely good teams? We made up for that by not just beating those teams, but humiliating them with the scores and in other ways as well. I think that the SHS-BHS game will be close, but Smyrna has more heart and will come out on top. Even if the win is only by one point, we will still win.

To Oakland....I am back. I had an illness in my family out of state. Sorry that I missed your win over Lavergne.I will not miss any more games! Now YOU are back on track and do not want to taste another loss. Leaves a bad taste doesn't it? Many are counting you out of this one boys. Now is the time to step up and show what you are made of. Pure Grit and guts!! I believe in you and your coaches. Go Patriots!

Hey fan, sorry bout the family. But its nice to hear somebody say they are for us, and not that we are on the decline. Thanks. Lots of ppl are countin us(Okland) out, and you know what, i am glad, it will just make victory that much sweeter. I just hope we play together. cuz this is a good RHS team, who is well coached. Hope you will be there this thursday.

Yea, it felt real good to finally win again. Thanks. I think we are playing it at Riverdale, and we are playing on THURSDAY b/c our fall break starts that day. Thursday is only a half day for us, and we are out fri.and mon.

as i have already pointed out on here.how much of the trash talking is really players on smyrnas' team. i have proven on here more than ONCE that many lebanon people have multiple IDS on this board. soooooo before you lhs players get too fired up, you better check and see who exactly is running off at the mouth. is it just your coaching staff again? they get on here and brag on themselves by pretending to be parents and then get on and mouth off about you to try to psych you up. I do not like smyrna myself caus eof last year so i am not takingb up for them by any means.but i think the coaches ought to have confidence in you as players instead of having to use tricks.

HEy devil. I will tell coach moose that u said hello. I dont know who to tell h im said it. but yea. he is a great coach, and person. He is alsoo one of the smartest people i know. not just football but book smart. and he was a great athlete. he was tellin us how he would line down at any d-line position he wanted on any play he was so good. but yea, i am glad we got him on our sidelines now

Man, Look at region 8. They have like 3 teams that have great records, nd like 3 or 4 with horrible records. Look at region 4. They all are pretty evenly matched. Region 4 is still the toughest, but will be hard pressed to keep that reputation in the comming years. It is already feeling the effects of blackman, and seigal is fixin to open next year, the athletes will be spread over 4 schools, so.......

It will be hard.

Smyrna has a much better squad than Lebanon. We out size and out quick the Devils. They will not be able to stop our Qb or our running backs because we have such a big and talented offensive line. We could run up and down the field on the Devils because they simply can't tackle anyone. Therefore; poor tackling ='s many TD's for the dawgs. Homecoming will definately be a night to remember in the dawg house. Go Dawgs!!!!!!!

 

Who let dawgs out? Lebanon of course. This puts us in the drivers seat for number 1 or 2 in the district. Watch out Blaze and Warriors. Your next.

OK, I have played against both Smyrna and lebanon. Smyrna is awful. I dont know how they are 4-2. They are soft as girls on defense. Jansen is nothing, @ LB or RB. Their Dline is alot softer than lebanons. Smyrnas Offense is not very good at all. They have a good qb, but they dont use him. Why Run the ball? He is a great passer. And as far as saying you out quick them. HAHAHA. Lebanon has alot more speed than Smyrna could ever dream of. I hope LHS wins and Shuts up The Smyrna people.

I hear Oakland is trying to find another out of region game. Tell the coach to call up there.

PLEASE LINCOLN COUNTY: if you are planning to postpone our game to Saturday night....announce it early BEFORE fans leave home or the football team is in transit.It saves a lot of wear and tear on everyone that way. We already know that you know how it feels to travel twice and change work, sell college tickets quickly, etc. Have MERCY please!

Just to let you all know, i heard Oaklands coach say he spoke to Coach Thompson. He said Coach Thopmson Said, and i quote,"we are playing this thing come heck or high water". So, hopefully the officals wont call it. Cuz he wont. The only thing is, they may be playing in the high water. LOL.

I disagree with the Best o-line coach in Tn. Oakland's Coach Ferguson is the best in the state.

This week oakland travels to Linclon County to play in the pit. What are yalls predictions on the game? Oakland is going into the pit playing LCHS exactly as last year against LCHS. Comming off their first loss of the season. Last year, the Pats took ito the falcons. Also handed a shalacking in the Playoffs. Is this Oakland team better than last years? Is this LCHS team better than last years? What do yall think is gonna g down in the pit? O yea, last year before the playoff game, coach Thompson? is that his name? Anyway, the LCHS coach told coach Euverard "welcome to the Pit". THe pit had no effect on OHS. Thoughts on this game.

I am with Tim. He is right about the battl of the boro. OHS-RHS is the only battle of The boro. There is no way it will be more packed than the RHS-OHS game. I say thats what will decide the Region Championship. If it is more packed, the only reason is b/c of both loses. As for the remark that oaklad cant hang. wait. thats all i gotta say. Lebanon was a fluke. OHS came out flat and LHS got pumped emotionally and what not. What happened to RHS at LCHS? They lost turner. Woe is them. And bhs, they just stunk against FHS. Maybe with rico back, it willl help. I hope it does. But right now, the shalacking that BHS took Saturday doesnt say much about them. I think it says more about RHS, bouncing back. I dont think that BHS's debacle aginst FHS was a fluke. Look for the blaze to lose maybe 2 more this season. They will have a tough next 2 weeks. Good luck to them though.

well, up until last week, they were playing a 40 D. I beleive they were playin a 3 technique and 7 to the strong side, and a 1 technique and 5 to the weak side. However, against oakland, they ran a 50. with a head up nose, 2 4i techniques, and 9's on the end. I b eleive they did this to stop the run. i dont know how effectve it was, b/c ohs rushed for over 150 yards. I know it left the open for the pass, and Ohs capatalized off of it.

What about carlos crawford at oakland he has about 600 yards and is averaging about 8 yards a carry. he is leading the county, which has 2 good backs in Grimes, and BHS's Turner(will play this week against the HHS Commando's"). He is also only a jounior. I just dont know how u could overlook him.

Just to clarify. LHS's Head coach, Coach Moose, was done wrong. He WASNT fired for poor preformance. He was let go because he took a leave of absence because of cancer. The school board just made a bad decision on that because now oakland has one of the smartest minds, football or book smarts, working for them, not against them.

OK on 9-6 at william blount, we fumbled 6 times inside their 20. (UNFREAKIN BELEIVABLE) lost 17-13. Twice inside the 3. 9-13 Rhea Co. Same thing. Rhea returned 2 fumbles for TD's lost 34-23. Had 2 more fumbles besides those 2. It is the most frustrating thing in the world. Knowing those teams are nowhere as good as you, but we give it to them like birthday cake. Our coaches are going nuts. Got Bradley this week---region game.

I would have to say that oakland has a very good offensive line. They are led by Sr.'s and 2 year starters Justin Parrott(LG) and Josh Jenkins©. They are also returning their two huge tackles,Jr.'s Chris Smith(LT) and Nathan Yopp(RT). The only new face is Sophmore B.J Oliver, who looks very promising. They have completly demolished everyone the have played, even if the scores dont indicate it. best of luck to them.
