I was wondering, seeing that the Monterey Wildcats haven't won since Stacy left for Cookeville's assist. a couple of years ago, is the administration looking to, "move in another direction" as it pertains to the current coach Lloyd Covington? Do not get me wrong, Mr. C is a good man and teacher, but these boys are still not winning like they should be. I have watched this group since their Jr. Pro Training League days, and it seems to me that they should get more W's? Now with that being said who do you guys see as taking the position if OR when the Covington reign ends? Also, their new assistant, Mike Phillips, would he take over or what about that Burks Middle Boys coach, what's his name.....? Dang I forgot Hasn't he did well at Burks? Please reply I would really like to find out your opinions on this matter, cause I have been a true Wildcat fan and grad'd there, AND I WANT TO SEE MORE W's. Any ideas? EDIT: Hoover that was his name, Joey Hoover.

Hey just wanted to say CONGRATS! To the Burks Middle School Boys (12-7) and Girls (12-11) on a GREAT year! This 4 year old school finally made it to the state tourney and boys lost while the girls won and then lost to the S. Fen. team. BMS lost a lot of great 8th graders BUT they will go on to play for Monterey High and succeed, there as well. Thanks again to BMS, Panther14 YES you know who I am!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Come on you Monterey Fans , post away!!!!!!!

How does "new" head coach Lloyd Covington fit into all this? Does anyone give him a chance? Well anyway, Coach Joey Hoover's Burks Middle School team from last year will give MHS a "GREAT" freshman team, and they should compete for the STATE OF TENNESSEE CLASS A TITLE in 2005 - 2006. Hey they went 13 and 3 last year!!!!!!!! Give Covington a chance, he may be what MHS needs to get back to state tourney in 4 years since the 1977-78 team!!!!!!
