Miami of Ohio in the Mid American Conference. I'd have to say that Joe the show has a few more players to compliment him on his team since they won the AAA state title. Jackson is a great player and will no doubt win the award next year. This year's recipient was a very deserving candidate as well, set the all time scoring mark in the King of the Bluegrass Tournament (single game 67 and tournament total). The 67 was scored on a team from Los Angeles that had a starting front line of 6'7"+ at each position. I am not affiliated with his team in any way but I can speak to the fact that he is a fine young man to go with his obvious basketball talents. Congrats and Happy trails Drew!

I'm sure BHS has more overall talent but they will have to guard DL to win and that is not always so easy. The team that sets the tempo will win.

Kevin Kegarise is the kid from Franklin that is on the Oak Hill team. I think he hands out more water cups and towels than he does assist these days, don't think he plays much from what I have heard. Best of luck to both teams on Monday!

Both of these schools played all of these teams early in the season. Beech beat Brentwood handily but so did a lot of people until mid December. Franklin also lost to MJ early in the season as well when Starnes was still playing football. Franklin plays a 1-3-1 as well so both teams should have a good idea of how to attack their mirror image. Both teams could be lucky to hit 40, I look for a sloooooow game.

Franklin- Brentwood #4 won't happen! Hunters Lane beat Brentwood by 2 in OT tonight, as Brentwood missed at the buzzer. Franklin cruised past Maplewood by 18 earlier. Both #2's make it to the region championship but then again both won the regular season titles in their respective districts. Good luck to both teams on Thursday!

That would have to be either of the districts from Memphis. 11-AAA top to bottom was pretty strong this year but most of these teams would not compete for district titles down there.

The kid who threw it at the goal and had it go in is an all district player so he has done some good things before and scored quite a few tonight. Tough luck for Indy, they are very well coached and have some talented players, they probably deserved a better fate. Carden and Eilerman took over for them in the 4th and made yet another late run but it was not quite enough tonight. A young Overton team advances to face Brentwood and advances to the region tourney! With the results of this game and Brentwood over Ravenwood proves that it is hard to beat someone three times in a row.

The private schools are really taking a toll on 12-AAA pool of talent.

All quarter-final games (girls tonight and boys tomorrow) begin @ 7 PM at the higher ceed. Semi-finals move to Independence beginning Saturday.

Shouldn't matter what team he plays on, shouldn't matter who is a D1 recruit. It should go to who has meant the most to their team this year. Kelly gets and takes a lot of shots and yes, I know he really doesn't have a lot to go with him this year. I think the mvp will probably be teichmann simply because he is on the #1 team and the other "best" player on his team went down early in the year with a season ending injury. He has more help but he has carried them this year. I think those are the only two real choices though.

There is excellent coaching on both benches tonight. Reflecting on the season though, how good would Brentwood have been if Tidwell played this year?

I hear that the more talented younger players are playing more minutes now for Ravenwood, if that is true they are going to take their lumps along the way gaining experience. Ravenwood has a bright future with a good 10th and 9th grade group.

What kind of crap is that? No home book? You know, I haven't seen many Hillwood scores in the paper this year maybe that's why..... The Bristol kid will really help them but not as much a one good guard though.
