  1. Wonder how many teams have coaches come in from teams that are out of the playoffs to help? Just curious...

With their current team colors on and in the huddle with a different team? Probably not many coaches that would even allow that...especially when the original coaches have helped the school win 10 out of 11 games.

Maybe the new look for 2010?

I would be surprised if it werent.

  3. Nashville area. Sequatchie has had to face them in the playoffs in the past decade and saw players including WR Patrick Turner (USC, Dolphins) and LB Marcus Buggs (Vanderbilt, Buffalo Bills).

I remember those days. We could hear truck drivers talking on their CB's through our head sets. The stadium is very close to the interstate.

  5. "Another" flag on Polk when they run down to SP's 15 with a little over a minute to go. And this was after SP called a timeout, though the announcer said they didn't have any left, and the scoreboard said they didn't have any. Folks, I'm not kidding.......I'm rolling! :popcorneater:

    Yeah, Im pretty sure now.

  6. to the bledsoe fans you never heard the chief reply to any pregame hype because i knew it was crap.you have the same team as last year as just as we did big blue had one good qtr. after the first qtr. we shut you down plain and simple no excuses because you can't come up with any we got bad calls as well as ya'll the difference in this game was our best players i mean our most oustanding players were sequatchies coaching staff! they let #20 somthing(not sure) run the same routes in crunch time and our coaches are so stupid (i'm not sure if that's the right thing to say since we are told that as fans we know nothing about the game) they couldn't make a quick change by moving #2 to cover #2? since #2 shut down #80 all night and our defense rocked chase brown and put #21 on #80 because that route #80 run did not work all night. i also beleive that our coaches do not sub enough on the line because i know for a fact we can at least give our boys that start 3-5 minute rests thats why we can run the ball so well we have a total of 5.i do not understand why we try to go up the middle when it rarely works.we are so much better going to the outside like #44 did i do not understand why we ran the ball the whole 2nd half successfully we spread out their defense and never attempted a pass when that is how you open up the passing game that is the first thing you learn in coaching school or clinic which ever you attend the reason i can say this is because the last game you played last year at smith co. told me everything i need to know the reason they beat seq so bad (said by their coach) is because they played cannon co the week before and they were the same team how stupid you had so lil sense you never thought to use alil different scheme.you can take this any way you want and i know you will say that if i have a problem come meet you and talk about it but i don't talk to idiots you are to worried about controling everything and what people say on these forums you act like a teenager again yourself who must have been spoiled.you should be sure to tell your team that the staff lost the game for them and be sure to tell bledsoe they are welcome for making it to the #1 spot in the district thanks to the coaching staff.no sense in replying to cheif, cheif doesn't care what anyone here has to say.the win against marion means nothing other than breaking the streak because after beating that team last week we shouldn't have lost to a team like bledsoe this week.we had their # after the 1st qtr. we had their heart at half time and had them worn out in the 3rd qtr and we let them run the same play with the same player and come back and win.that was opitiful if the player you had covering him couldn't do the job give someone else achance to stop him when you had players who already had interceptions anyway.my last comment you are bound to have enough coaches on the sidlines that someone can go out to the refs and get their attention (we'll donate $500 to pay the fine for the man that will buck up and do somthing)it is rediculous that you can't spare one coach off the sidlines for one game for them to go out and take up for the team get a penalty or ejected and let the kids play for him (heck send bill) enough is enough this is the best year we have had the coaching staff blowed it being a great season hopefully we can still have a good one

Get a degree and try it for yourself. BTW... I wouldnt suggest getting ejected from a game if you ever do get there. You may need that $500 to pay off the student loans it would take to teach you how to spell correctly. Good luck with that Mr. Fence Walker.

  7. I tried to tell the Grundy faithful not to get their hopes up. They werent getting what they thought they were getting. I guess my warns fell on deaf ears....till now. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  8. Hold your horses there Warrior, someone commented on your stint at Cannon County in the earlier post (see the McDonald's quote)...The Kid that is in school is constantly in the middle of all aspects of cannon county sports since you have left and before also. If you would listen to him instead of trying to hire someone you are partial too you could learn something. Wildcat is the most dedicated fan in Cannon County and is in tune with what goes on in the adminastration. Don't start talking like you've done it all. Yes you got it going in the right direction but you had alot more to work with than Bartsch (injuries hurt his tenure). The worst thing Cannon County could do is bring the Georgia coach back to Woodbury...period. He didn't cut it in his interview less than 18 months ago and one season in Georgia doesn't make you a championship type coach. It's my understanding he is cut from the same cloth as you, don't take offense but that is not what Cannon County needs right now. Lay off Widcat, if you were smart you would pick the phone up and call the AD and the principal and get the educated young man on the search committee..... That's how you can help the program, lay off the Georgia thing, the program doesn't need it.....I enjoy talking back and forth with you but can't agree with you on wildcat.....I've had numerous conversations with him, probably more than any other person from Cannon County. He's one of those that has all the tools and is very mature (way beyond his age). If I were someone interested I would make sure the day he rolled out of MTSU, he would be on my payroll...still trying to figure out how to get him on my team..... All i'm saying is don't sell the young man short. Be careful what you say, possible could be your boss one day.

    Doubt it.

  9. The young man may be innocent, we just don't know. But if he has been arrested, he should not be allowed to play. Let me put it another way, if he were arrested of doing something on school grounds he would not be allowed to participate in any sporting events. I think these charges are very serious and until we know something he should not be allowed to play. I would hate to be a principal or coach in Smyrna this week. This is a tough decision to make and like someone said, it has legal and ethical questions. I know my old coach would have put us on the bench for cursing.

I think times have changed I know coaches must weigh in on lots of issues. I'm sure they have a better understanding of what is going on than we do and thats the way it should be. I just don't think this young man should be allowed to play if he is under arrest for a crime.

I agree. The 18 year old was arrested and should not be allowed to play. Playing sports and representing your school are a privelage not a right. I for one would not want a person with these thug like accusations representing my team or school. The facts right now say he was arrested thats all that should be considered right now. Cops dont arrest people for nothing. It is not gonna ruin this kids life to sit out a game while the real adults find out the truth. If he were arrested on school grounds do you think they would wait and see what the courts say? No his butt would be suspended and maybe expelled. Schools in Tennessee have a No Tolerance law against weapons on school grounds. Maybe in the long run the real facts may come out until then why give an 18 year old that was arrested days ago the privelage of playing scholastic sports and representing a school? Sit his butt out and save your reputation.

  10. I guess you didnt take the time to read the news paper. It clearly states that the police went to his home at

the request of DHS because some one sent them a picture of a 7 yr old holding a weapon. When they got there

they found gun powder in a pill bottle , grafiti and gun in the home where he lives.

Now where you got this nonsense about waiving a 9mm ,doing doughnuts and running stop signs is beyond me.

I guess when you dont know the facts just make some up huh ?

Sound like the beginning of a fine young man.

  11. What did this kid do to merit the police getting involved in the first place? Maybe thats all we need to look at. I think we will find out what is more important over at Smyrna this week. Setting examples or winning at all costs. I hope they make the right decision.

Pac-Man Jones has never been convicted of a crime BTW. I'm not comparing the 2 by no means just throwing that out there.

  12. Maybe we should be asking ourselves what this boy was doing that would merit enough attention to himself to involve the police in the first place. That might be enough to get this boy in enough trouble to not play in itself. Did he run a stop sign or was he cutting doughnuts in a church parking lot with his 9mm in his hand waving it about like a true hip-hop thugster? One way or another he did something dumb enough to involve the police. I believe we will find out what is more important to the Smyrna coach. Setting a good example for his current and future players or winning. I hope he doesnt try to fool himself. Anyway, for you people that say being convicted and arrested are two different things. I have two words. Adam Jones.
