How are the Hornets doing so far? I have not seen many of their scores in the paper and was just curious on how they are doing.

I think you left off one of if not the best player and that is Hilary Bauer from Huntland. Also one of the best shooters in Jamie Smith from Huntland as well. I think the people you mentioned are very deserving as well but these 2 should be on the list.

I hear that they fired their coach? Any word on that and who are they looking at hiring? Is there any talent in the freshman and sophomore classes or in the middle schools?

Does anyone know what teaching position is available there?

Phil Carr is a great coach as well as the other guy. WHoever told you that doesnt have a clue.

Come on guys lets stop all of this non sense. I am not sucking up, I am just stating my opinion just like the rest of you. I think Coach Ray does a good job and I am sincere when I say that. I for one just cant believe that it is always the coaches fault. Sometimes the players have to take responsibility for the actions on the floor. Our team went into the region tournament this week against someone we were better than on paper. We the coaches did our homework and had them scouted to a tee, we played very hard, played good defense, played together but we lost. Why? Because we shot 30% from the floor. Do we practice shooting? Of course we do! Did we take bad shots? No we did not. They just did not go in and we lost. I have much repect for all the people that are posting on here gov,ejw22,12timechamp, and orange, but can we just stop all of this? This is stupid! Everyone has stated their opinion so let it be and just move on with whatever you are doing. This is going to cause us to lose some friendships for a stupid reason. This reminds me of someone trying to tell me that the religion I believe in is the wrong one. It is my opinion fo believe in what I believe and the only one who can tell me I am wrong is the good lord himself. So there everyone knows how the gov feels, how ejw22 feels, how 12 time feels, and how orange feels, and how I feel. So lets please stop all of this and move on. Love all of ya and good luck to all!

How good will the Rebelettes be this year? They have a great coaching staff with Jolley and Smith, but how good will they be? I would not overlook them cause they might sneak up on you!!!!!

What are the thoughts about the Huntland Lady Hornets? I know they have a lot key players returning, but will they make some noise? I know they have good coaching, but what are some predictions for them?

Huntland should not be overlooked. They will hit with anyone, but they must get some good pitching. Good luck Hornets.

I hope that you read all my posts and saw that I had everyones back down in Huntland. I will always be a Hornet no matter what, you should know that. I may have screwed up big time but oh well you have to learn and move on. I hope that all is well there and tell Tipps and Campbell I said good luck in the upcoming season. Just to clear it up I have nothing but respect for all the coaches there. I was just hoping that all my posts were not misread. Hey apsugov I will be in the Land this weekend so holla at me. I think you misunderstood my message, i never said Karper was a bad player. She is a good high school player that can play SMALL college ball. She will not be on TV unless she gets a lot better. Just think how many women games are on TV? Unless you play in the SEC,ACC,BIG 10, BIG 12, or another major conference women dont get many games on TV. And she can not play on that level, and you may be the only one who thinks she can. I have watched a lot of OVC games which is small D-1 school and she can't play on that level either. The biggest D-1 schools she could play at would be the Belmonts and Lipscomb type schools. By the way did you keep the stats last night, cause the Tennessean had Rigsby down for 12 assists and I am sure Coach Mac called them in. By the way I dont live near Eagleville I have just seen her play. And if you would notice I wished her luck too. Karper good luck and I hope you achieve your goals, but your cousin needs to face a little reality. ANd dont hate on the NAIA cause I played NAIA and I promise you there are some great players in the NAIA.

This is in response to your statement on Coach Meyer (DON not JERRY), you have no clue about what you are saying. I played for him and he is one of the best coaches ever on any level. You dont win 800 games if you cant coach. What do you base that statement on? What up chev? Dont talk about my coach if you dont know him? Can we get some love from any former Bisons!

Karper is a good high school player and she might play college but never at Vandy. She is not a Division 1 player, hate to bust your bubble. She is a NAIA player at best, but good luck to her. Also there are a lot of players who scored over 30 points in a high school game that never made it to college so that means nothing. What did she average? Just some things to think about!! By the way Rigsby is their best player and I bet that she created a lot of Karpers shots for her. I think I saw where she had 12 assists.

Hey I miss it too, but like i said things happen for a reason. I agree with things that are said but I just do not believe in bashing a coach behind his back on a chat line. I would go talk to him face to face. I can accept criticism if it comes from the right source, and I tell you what I learned alot from the Coach Ray, Coach Rob, Coach "Jock" Farmer and the rest of the coaches there. I even learned a few life long lessons I would say. But as a coach you always have to be learning, cause when you think you know it all you need to retire. I agree with orange about meeting face to face on this one. But you know orange that hardly ever happens! I also know that Coach Ray will do his part to have the Lady Hornets ready for next year, and lets be honest they should be the favorite to win the district. They get to host the tournament next year so they have a lot in their favor, plus I know all those girls and they will use the upset to motivate themselves for next year. Best of luck Lady Hornets!!!!! And maybe it was an upset but if any of you keep up with high school basketball then check out who is playing in the finals of the district, Cascade and Moore County. Thats right Cascade, the same team that beat Huntland, so maybe they are not that bad of a team heh??

You misunderstood me cause I am not on you and I never said you were critical of Coach Ray. I know you got mad when people got on you and that made you state your opinion, but sometimes you have to swallow your tongue. As you can see Rusty is not orange. Just imagine if this post was started about you, and think about what he would like to get on here and say to everyone. I am just trying to give you my opinion like everyone else does on here. Everyone has their opinions on coaches, but I think the professional thing to do as a fellow coach is just keep those opinions to yourself. Come on my dawg you know I got nothing but love for ya!
