  1. After 3 quarters....BC 34 Cumberland Co 32.
  2. Bradley Central 25 Cumberland Co 24 at the Half. Howard with 3 fouls. Cumberland Co should be killing BC, but have missed a ton of layups. BC has 10 turnovers. CC has beaten them so far in steals 5 to BC 2. Bradley County is lucky to be in the game right now.
  3. BC 25 Cumberland Co 24 Half. Howard with 3 fouls.
  4. So that is your prediction, huh? Listening to the game now on the radio. 16-12 Bradley Co. End of 1st quarter. Rhyne Howard on the bench with 2 fouls after the 1st quarter.
  5. Actually....BC record all-time against Blackman is 2-1... The last time they played them was in 2013... 5 seasons ago. All today's kids on both teams were in grades 4-7 at that time. Bradley Central is 0-3 against Riverdale in the CoachT archives since 2001. Please stop...I am sure the good folks in the city of Cleveland would be thankful...
  6. Yeah....if you want to go that far...the last time Riverdale played BC at Jim Smiddy, they beat BC on their home court...and there are still kids left on each team from that memory... I certainly hope you don't believe that and are trying to humor everyone.
  7. I will go locally anywhere Riverdale plays if I believe it could be a decent game, but frankly, I don't bother outside of the district, region and state tournament. I do, however, watch multiple games if there is a big time Thanksgiving or Christmas tourney in the Boro that draws in national teams like in the past. In the state tourney, I watch a lot of different teams play in all classifications. When I can watch Riverdale play...why would I want to watch anything else? It would be like drinking a Big K Cola when you are used to drinking Coca Cola.
  8. You are bragging about Cumberland Co beating Palm Harbor University High out of Florida in a mediocre at best Christmas tourney? They are an 8A team who is ranked by MP 102 in the state, and 3038 in the nation. Spruce Creek is a 9A team ranked 37 in FL, and 1087 in the nation. The state of Florida has good athletes, but not exactly known for playing good girls HS basketball. Sometimes there might be a team or two out of Miami, but that is about it. I will give Cumberland Co props for traveling outside of TN. Hoover, AL was a quality win. MP ranks Cumberland Co #8 in TN, and #286 in the US. CC was MUCH better than the teams they played in that tourney, and should have won.
  9. I think the better question would be who Bradley Central played to rack up an undefeated record, when the furthest team west of the Cumberland Gap they played was Cookeville, and every game was played in Tennessee. Every game BC has played this year has been against East TN teams and a couple out of GA at the Bradley Central High Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Tournament at their own gym. Bradley Co makes sure to get in the tournament games against 1A Lakeview Academy...a team ranked 76 in GA and 2356 in the US by M A X P R E P S, and Flowery Branch...a team ranked 19th in the state of GA. Why schedule in your own Thanksgiving Tournament games you know you will win just to up your record? Murray, KY is actually a pretty good team. They are presently 24-5, with two of those losses coming to Riverdale and #18 in the US according to USAToday, Butler High out of Louisville. Murray is playing tonight in the 2nd round of the Regionals. Riverdale also beat by 19 points the current #10 team in the US according to Max P R E P S ....NORCROSS, GA. Norcross has only two losses, one being to Riverdale, and the other to the #2 ranked team in the country, Monacan (VA). They play another team Riverdale beat by 38 points...Collins Hill, who plays Norcross in the GA 7A semi-finals on Saturday.
  10. Not only my opinion, but experts opinions too. You are KILLING me... In the last 3 years, Blackman has won two State Championships and a National Championship...that is all. They are just having a down year. Things run in cycles. Smyrna is typically a pretty tough team in the top 4 in 7-AAA. What you said about these teams is totally not true. Go look at their schedule. They all have out of district wins...even at the bottom. BTW....our District 7-AAA #4 seed Smyrna beat 8-AAA District Champ Shelbyville twice in regular season. They are one of those 7-AAA teams you are talking about you say is on the bottom. I think Smyrna would be District Champs in quite a few Districts across the state. I know they would be in the running in Districts 9, 10, 11 and 12-AAA for the Championship most any year. I am sure there are more Districts across the state they would be in the running as well.
  11. No, but I will get to if Bradley Central wins. Riverdale plays on another level than any team in the state. They would absolutely love to play Cumberland Co's press. All on the court for Riverdale are D-I guards at most any given time and have gears most high school kids don't have... way too much speed. That would be the worst thing CC could do is put the press on Riverdale.
  12. Cumberland Co might be like many teams in TN with impressive records on paper, but they are missing McKenzie Isles this year, who was a 2,000 pt career scorer for them. CC also lost two other starters in Hyler and Smith. Last year, Riverdale beat Cumberland Co in the sectionals by 20...even with Isles.
  13. If Bradley Central beats Cumberland Co, we will see if what you say is true about BC beating them by 30. SC did not have a good game tonight. I believe they are a spoiler. When you play big girl ball, you are taught to crash the boards and play aggressive defense. Believe me...Riverdale has been called for more than their share of fouls all season. The bench is too strong, and they can rotate in and out easily. Riverdale averages 15 fouls a game, but a player has only fouled out three times all season.
  14. I really don't mean to be crass to you, and I appreciate your passion for Bradley Central girls basketball, but you saying Cumberland Co could beat the #1 team in the country according to 2 of the 3 biggest polls in USAToday AND M A X P R E P S is about the most ridiculous statement I have seen on CoachT in my 15 years of being on this board. Basketball in 7-AAA is arguably the toughest district year in and year out in the US, and has produced two National Championships in the past 5 years, and 6 out of the past 7 State Championships. Stewart's Creek is no pushover, and a really good team. SC could potentially be a spoiler on your side of the bracket. 4 of Stewarts Creek's 6 losses so far have been to Riverdale. The others are to USAToday #9 in the US, Hamilton Heights out of Chattanooga, and the other is to Brentwood Academy. Here is the talent Cumberland Co would have to play against to beat Riverdale: Riverdale 1 player is a McDonald's All-American who will actually play in the All American game (not an honoree, which there are many), and has signed with Tennessee. She is an ESPN 5 Star athlete. 2 players have offers from Tennessee, and won't graduate for 2-3 years. One is an ESPN 3 star. The other is on ESPNs list as a freshman. 2 players have committed to MTSU, and still have another year after this one to play. One of them is an ESPN 3 Star athlete. 1 player hasn't made her decision, but is an ESPN 4 Star athlete (just like Rhyne Howard), and has offers from Kentucky, Vanderbilt and GA Tech, just to name a few. She is a Jr as well, with another year to play. Several players coming off the bench have offers from other colleges. Can Bradley Central beat Riverdale? Who knows....just like someone said earlier, it would be like Villanova beating Georgetown in 1985. Could happen, but very unlikely.....
  15. Pour yourself another one.....
  16. Totally accepted and no problem. We can move on. 😃
  17. Take your argument elsewhere man. You don't even make sense. Families move all the time in and out of areas and school districts. As long as a kid enters after their 8th grade year, they are not considered a transfer. Maybe you should do more homework on where these kids came from. 90-95â„… if not more of the kids on Riverdales team are from Riverdale feeder schools, and most were there way before the end of 8th grade. 1 kid might have come from middle school private locally. You are going around in circles. This argument has already been debated in other threads. It is old. Move on.
  18. Gossip is bad. Every kid on the girls HS basketball team at Riverdale entered right out of 8th grade except Annie Hayes. Outside of her, there are no HS transfers on the team. You keep trying to twist my words. This conversation is going nowhere. I have work to do.
  19. Not trying to be rude but sometimes a question by a bunch of "adults" in a girls high school basketball forum concerning a child is not worthy of answering... It is none of my business, and not my place to answer. Every kid but Annie Hayes started 9th grade at Riverdale. They are all easily found in team pictures.
  20. I was extremely impressed with Stewart's Creek last nite. Riverdale didn't have tremendous trouble breaking their press, and had a ton of mental errors. I don't think Riverdale hit a three all night, which was strange for them. It was just not their game. Stewart's Creek slowed the ball way down and got Riverdale out of their fast paced game, and frustrated. SC twin guards signed with Austin Pray and are good, but not the Creeks only weapon. They had some decent ball handlers. SC played a great game, and Riverdale was happy to get out with a win. SC is dangerous and peaking at the right time. I agree. Stewart's Creek is gonna be tough.
  21. You are calling Maryville good with an 18-11 record and you are proud BC beat them by 28? BC only beat them by 4 the first time they played Maryville. Do you have any clue as to how good Stewarts Creek is this year? They have lost 5 games all year, and 3 of those were to the current #1 ranked team in the country in Riverdale according to the experts at USAToday, and the #10 team in the country in Hamilton Heights from your neck of the woods. The only other loss they had this year was to Brentwood Academy. When you play for a District Championship in 7-AAA, you don't play teams you beat by 41pts who have 16-13 records. I would not under rate Stewarts Creek. They are very scrappy. East TN does not have a history of being able to finish for a AAA state championship in years. They have won 6 state titles in AAA in 41 years of all schools combined. The last title east TN won in AAA was 15 years ago with Sevier Co. East TN teams normally come in with impressive records, but don't win the big game. District 7-AAA by itself has 7 of the past 10 AAA titles. Middle TN in all has won 30 AAA state titles in the last 41 years, and West TN has 5. Who knows though...maybe an East TN AAA team might win this year.. . My belief is it will be another Gold Ball back to 7-AAA in the Boro to go in Riverdale's trophy case.
