Nate Hall from Knox Webb. Patrick Kimmons from Webb is a great 2nd baseman too. He did a good job as Webb's lead off hitter this season.

Weak baseball country? Both teams in the finals last year were from the East as I recall. And this season there were 3 teams in the east with over 20 wins (McCallie, Baylor, and Knox Webb).

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them in the championship game again this year. Its funny how getting the #2 seed in the east is almost better than getting the #1.

I'm anxious to see how McCallie does. They have really started to roll.

I think that'd be awesome. I don't think you'd see class A teams win very much though.

I just read on the chattanoogan.com that Baylor won 4-0. It says that Simpson pitched the whole game for Baylor. Notre Dame started Everett. He was relieved by Doyle and Doyle was relieved by Cain.

A.J. Kirby at Knox Webb. He is only a spot starter and about their #6 pitcher, but he has 3 homeruns on the season and throws in the upper 80's. (hit 89 in sportsbelle classic while pitching against Farragut)

How did Baylor do?

A.J. Kirby of Webb hit 89 mph while pitching against Farragut in the Sportsbelle Classic and was consistantly in the mid 80's.

The two teams split. In game one, Webb was cruising along 9-1 until the top of the 5th inning. Pitcher Nate Hall was forced to leave the game because of a popped blister on his hand that was bleeding all over the place. Then, a few walks and errors by Webb and some timely hits allowed ND to score 4 or 5 runs. Then, with two outs Webb had some more errors (both physical and mental), walked some more batters, and ND had a couple more hits and ND put up 14 runs in one inning. Despite homeruns by Charlie Seivers, Zach Gosselin, and Brian Cronk, Webb was unable to comeback and lost 21-16. Webb walked 13 batters and had at least 6 errors. In game two Webb won 10-0 in 5 innings. Zach Gosselin picked up the win going all 5 innings. Patrick Kimmons hit a homerun for Webb.

Notre Dame travels to Knox. Webb tomorrow. First game is scheduled to start at 1. Webb is 3-1 in region play while Notre Dame sits at 2-0 (I think).

Anybody know why Ryan Moore didn't pitch at all?
