Are you guys lost or just stupid? The top 4 in Region 5 will go like this...1. Franklin, 2. Smyrna, 3. Brentwood, 4. Tullahoma. The top 2 could be close, but everyone else will be fighting for 3rd.

cbg, Get a life dude. Coach Gonyea was not encouraging anyone to lose weight. If you are a conscientious wrestler you will cut back around Thanksgiving. There is enough negativity about weight loss in our sport without someone like you making these stupid statements. He was just stating fact. Get a life!

Now let's see if they produce. Results is the bottom line.

Mark the words of the Dog. Clarksville and Kenwood will be on top this year and for years to come. They have 2 good coaches and know how to get full potential from each wrestler. Dickson has probably seen its last chance to threaten these two for quite some time.

I saw a lot of tough, young wrestlers at Franklin last year and I know that they have been very active this off-season. They will be very tough and will beat Brentwood. No offense, but BW is rather weak.

Dbltech....Where did you say Brentwood would finish. Be for real...Do they have some tranfers that we don't know about? Give me a break!

Let's have fun and predict the top 10 in division 1 and the top 5 in division 2. Here are mine. At the end of February we can look back and see who was closest. Division 1 Division 2 1. Bradley Central 1. McCallie 2. Cleveland 2. MBA 3. Clarksville 3. Ryan 4. Soddy-Daisy 4. Baylor 5. East Ridge 5. Christian Bros. 6. Franklin 7. Kenwood 8. Science Hill 9. Franklin Road Academy 10. Bolton

Franklin Road Academy will win Region 6. Overton's days as the tog dog are over. Coach Taylor at FRA has started his own little dynasty that will end Gabriel's run.

I believe that Region 7 will be once again trampled by Clarksville and Kenwood with everyone else fighting to see who brings home the third place trophy. They have solid programs year in and year out and Dickson lost all but their 45. CHS and KW seem to have good coaching and that seems to be the difference that keeps them on top every year in Region 7. From the stands it looks as though Cobb and Masters get the most from each of their wrestlers which has been key to each's success. I love wresting and frequent a lot of matches in the Clarksville area and I wish that Northeast, Northwest, Rossview or Montgomery Central would step up and give them a run. Just some thoughts on Region 7.

I believe Sweeton was last seen at Lassen Jr. College in California. I heard he beat up his roommate and was Red shirted. I haven't heard if he is back on their team or not. I always loved his style.

I seem to remember a kid from Kenwood named Baker at 152 last year. I was at the Region 7 tournament and I believe that he dominated his weight class. I wasn't able to make it to state, but I believe that he placed. I think he was a sophomore. Did he move or did you guys just forget about him? I also believe that Clarksville's heavyweight will do great along with Jennings. This may be Jennings' year to finally win it. They also had a good 135 last year. I don't know if he is returning, but he was solid. Northwest had a young kid around 52 or 45 that looked as though he might be a force in the future. I'm sure the Mt. Juliet 119 from last year will do great. If he and Jennings wrestle the same weight that will be great to watch. Just some thoughts from an old wrestling fan in Clarksville.
