thank you xtreme by the way just from reading these forums would you happen to be a goddard? anyhow yeah, i'm still a rockwood fan, one of the best schools i've been to. some of the nicest people there as well. I hope that rockwood gets a rematch at those cosby eagles because i'm sick of listening to all of them flying high in these forums. And i also wish I could drive down for that game, because I don't care what anyone says, but I love being at games where the fans get into it, gets my blood pumping ya know? And criticsm towards the other team isn't that horrible of a thing, just standing up for your team and not backing down for anyone. but throwing stuff at them is going to far. In terms of that coach flipping off the crowd, first of all you shouldn't do that at all, even at your own gym. But to do it on the road at someone else's gym is just asking for it. I'm surprised nothing happened. He definitly needs to be punished, no matter how badly he was antagonized, he is an adult, probably a teacher, and most importantly a coach. He needs to give the players someone to look up to, and doing that probably made him cooler to the players and they probably will laugh about it for awhile, but I would have less respect for him personally. He needs to be punished not just for how crude it was, but at the most how disrespectful it was.

Sorry TheAnswer, but I can't agree with you on your statement. Sure, college probably has more meaning behind it when playing sports for it then the pros, but....say he did go to North Carolina or so, and in his first season, he has a career-ending injury, now, he's not gonna be worth anything to North Carolina, he isn't gonna get a degree, and now he won't even make the millions he was offered for going straight to the NBA. If I was him, I'd play in the NBA for about 3-5 years, save up the money, retire, go to college, then buy myself a nice house and live my life happily knowing I learned something and I don't have to work ever again.

Hey themagicrooster, are you by any chance matt goddard's stepdad? Just wandering, from what I've heard on here that's who it is sounding like.

In terms of this topic, all I have to say is this, who in their right mind would pass up making multiple millions in one year over PAYING to go to college, also costing big bucks, then getting a degree, and maybe never finding the job they want, making the money they want, to even be fairly financially set. Also, It is true that he may go to the NBA and play for one year and get cut. Maybe can't play as well in the NBA as everyone thinks he will. Look at Duke University, a college basketball powerhouse. Look at how many people were top picks in the NBA and never amounted to anything, especially Jay Williams. Sure this is his first year, but when your having games where you go 0-7, but in college you were the best in the nation, what's the tell/show us? That the NBA is harder. And James is only in High School, so just think about all this, and we will see in a bit how he does. But even if he does only play for one year and then get cut, he made enough in that one year with his team paycheck and his endorsements to live the rest of his life on his butt with no education and live happily. Now I'm not suggesting all the high school kids shoot for this goal, but look around you, how many people do you know, or even you, who hate to wake up and go to work just to make enough money to pay the bills and by some groceries then your broke for another two weeks till your next paycheck. How nice would it have been to have been offered a one year contract in the NBA. Just think about that.

I feel as though they couldn't discipline the boys as much as a guy could, and not because they can't just because I don't feel the boys would respect her as much as they would a man.

I look at it this way, if the kid is good enough for people to be buying him 50,000+ dollar vehicles to play for him, then it shows one of two things. 1. He has to be a good enough player to deserve something to show for it. 2. The team that did it is dumb for spending money on a guy that could get injured or just up and leave. Simple as that. Either way, unless your as good or better then him, don't worry about his private life for teams.

I would have to say also that this year is probably gonna be the best chance Rockwood has had to winning a title in a long time. Last year they did well, but they didn't lose too many essential players from last year. Boston was probably the best senior that left, but he started to decline towards the end of last season. So I expect this team to go alot farther this year. And CMan, do us a favor and quit talking your smack on here and let the players fight it out on the court.

Reed and Gallaher not getting along? Well when I lived down there I was good friends with Reed, and me and Gallaher talked every once and awhile, but I know for a fact they were good buddies at that point. Sure that was a year ago, but I don't seem them being able to hate each other, and if that's so, it won't last long. So don't let that bother you. But I could see that screwing up the chemistry of the team because they are both essential players to the Tigers, and if they don't like each other, their not gonna wanna assist each other, pass to each other and so on. It just won't happen, so Reed or Gallaher, if you read this, Berg says get your act together and bring a title home to Rockwood where it belongs.

So who is the leading scorer on the team: Preston Reed Davis Bowman Richardson I don't know who it would be, and who is the break-out player for them that's a sophomore. I figured it to be Payne but I wasn't sure how well he would do.

I hate to say it but there will always be a crooked ref here or there, and yes, they can screw up, and they can try to make it easier for a certain team to win. But, Rockwood lost cause they were outplayed, simple as that, if your beating a team by 30 points with 3 minutes left, no matter how badly the refs are cheating, you'll still win. So, even if the refs were crooked, Rockwood lost, but....I'd be surprised if it happened again. Rockwood is very revengeful, and there not gonna let that happen again. They will make sure their ahead by enough where it won't matter.
