Probably tired of going 5-5, 6-4. If you could read his mind I bet he thought DL would be a easy W when he scheduled them.I remember a statement he made after Springfield upset Columbia last year. Everyone called win an upset but he was stating it all depends on the teams that beat you.After Springfield beat us he stated that both schools have good programs. I honestly don't know how good SHS program is, but I do know they are surrounded by at least 6 good programs. I think he is searching for a couple of 8-2,9-1 seasons. I hope I'm wrong.

COACHHARD.... I just read the tennessean story.....Let me see....Needs big gates.....Could have Greenbrier at home next year....Scheduled DL for gate....One game makes or breaks program....Am I missing something???? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

---------------------------------------------------- COACHHARD......Their coach must be worried about DL's fans showing. When WHHS played them at their place, they didn't have many fans. The real reason? He knows his team will put the ball on the ground in wet conditions.(They did last week) We scrimmaged DL and I know Greenbrier knows how good they are. He needs his team on a dry (or at least not rainy) field to have a chance to win. The gate issue is a smoke screen. They lose this week and they will be 2-3 in a year Springfield should be doing good things. It makes no sense to drop Greenbrier. Will be interesting to see who they pick up.

Sorry COACHHARD, I believe it is Portlands region that will play 9 games.

COACHHARD......When you lose students, how long do you have to wait to change classifications. I believe there is a waiting period. I know WHHS lost several students to Heritage which could drop us back to 3a. I believe Greenbrier would lose those games anyway if you play everyone in your region. That's why I hope we are your only non region game. Same with Portland. Should be a good game friday nite and looks like the rain may move out before game time.

COACHHARD... I hope Portland and Greenbrier keep us as their one non region game. That's probably why GHS lost DCA and Springfield. With 9 region games doesn't leave much room for fun games such as this one.

mrorange....... I will tell you about your attitude,it's flippant. I teach my kids about the world and they have enough thrust at them without 3rd parties making statements. With your attitude I guess anything goes. Maybe teachers should belittle kids in class.Great lesson by your standards.Make a bad grade? Wow! Not much talk on this game. If it is true that Bobcats region goes to 9 games next year then this may be the last time these teams see each other for a while. This is what I think Blue Devils need to do to win. 1.Win the kicking game. 2.Keep field position in our favor. 3.Meet the physical challange. Blue Devil fans, I know this sounds basic but we must do this to win. We know what Bobcats are going to do. They can't(or won't) pass and they believe what worked against Springfield will work against us. I didn't mention turnovers because that is a given.If either team turns it over,well,that team loses. My prediction? Time to take the wraps off the offense. We have developed the weapons and big plays spell doom for the Bobcats. I seriously doubt you are a WH grad. I have been associated with the program for several years and don't see the things you describe. If you are a grad, you probably tried to make the team and couldn't cut the mustard. I know coach White House keeps every kid on the team that can hang through their practice schedule. The problem is Volunteer General, the young mans parents should be the one to council their son if he is acting in a manner that is not appropriate, not an announcer on a radio station. I would think there would be a better response (possibily a call to a principle or coach) than to use the airwaves in this manner. Coaches don't catch everything that happens on the field. The announcer wasn't thinking. I would rather live with an adult that told me when I was acting classless, than with an adult who felt he had to throw things around to get a point across. I wasn`t implying the guy was right. You made the comment about having to live with this man at home. I was merely pointing out that I would rather live with someone who told me when I was acting classless than with someone who felt compelled to start throwing objects across the house in order to make a point. This is kind of a tongue in cheek reference to those who were defending the coach who hit the kid with a helmet in the lockerroom. Neither was right, yet many people were defending the coach. People are calling for the announcers job, yet they weren`t calling for the coaches job. :confused: I don't think the two are related. While there is no excuse for throwing a helmet as a motovational tool, I don't believe he was trying to harm his player.Both were bad judgements. There's no place or time in high school athletics where a kid needs to be run down. Adults should know better. The attitude of mrorange is at best moronic. Be glad he is a fan of another team. I also feel sorry for his kids. How would you like to live with someone with his attitude.

GWAVE1... I agree WHHS plays better as season progresses.Greenbrier is a solid team. They are also big up front. Probably helped them against Springfield. Blue Devils have developed some offensive weapons since start of the season. Should help us this week. Congrats to Green Wave. Got to see your team play Springfield. You guys can run and pass. This is always helpful when playoff time rolls around. Hard to be one demensional when playoffs come around.

I can't believe there isn't anyone with an opinion on this game. I can understand why Bobcats have no opinion because they don't want to give Blue Devils bulletion board material. I know you guys are sky high and I know our team is ready to play. A reminder to Bobcat fans. This is not a region game and I know you play a good Page team after us. It would be a pity to play well against us and be flat against Page. Region games are just more important.

I agree about the split. Strange to see the name Heritage in Whitehouse. We lost several students. Does this signal a move back to 3a at some time? Really don't know how that works. I didn't go to Whitehouse (Hendersonville-1974). Moved up here in 1976. Became a Blue Devil fan actually because my youngest brother graduated from WHHS. Now I have a vested interest in the program.

APhool.... Was disappointing to see the WH faithful stay home. It was nasty out, but this is football, and weather is part of the equation. I'm glad to see the game played. The future of Blue Devil looks bright. We kept running in players and they all played hard. We should continue to win for years to come. Guess I'm going to sit back and wait for our Robertson county neighbors to start posting about how good a football team they have, how there going to win, how this is their year,(been hearing that one for 20 years), this year is different ,blah, blah,blah,blah,blah,blah,blah. They will throw their one token pass, Run the fb up the middle, fake it and run the qb around end. Get some rushing yards and their 10 points,and say "WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR" APhool, I like our team. We have developed several offensive weapons, our kicking game is light years ahead of last year, we are developing a nose for the ball on defense,and I believe our kids realize now that when they are focused (practice and game) they are hard to beat.
