i guess burley got what he wanted. i am sure that he is enjoying the fact that price has made a painful decision. and for the record, if you were really D1 as you say you would have been more vigorously pursued. most D1 prospects have everything in place academically( ACT, coursework, ...). in this day and age, colleges won't recruit players if there is a good chance they won't pan out academically. however, i do wish you the best of luck in college, and don't be surprised if your perspective doesn't change.

how sad it is to here all the negative comments about coach price and the football program at mc. while coacht is an excellent source for discussing sports, it is extremely unfortunate that bitter, young, immature,childish, and uneducated individuals such as burley, blueboy, and others use this to hide behind because they lack the courage and moxy to voice their opinions with coach price face to face. he is an honorable man and would welcome an "intelligent" conversation. coach price did everything in his power to maintain the tradition established at mc. this was difficult to do at times b/c of the lack of community support. if doug offended any player or failed to help him play D1 college ball, it was purely unintentional. so stop crying and get some semblance of a life. his approachability and caring will be missed. the other to coaches have plenty of narcissism and ego to become a potential candidate as the new coach. however, an outsider is needed so as not to become influenced by the bear bryant's in the community. thank you doug, for all you have done. enjoy your time.

marshall co will never win a state title with their current coach. third round at best. i know they have had some injuries, but what happened to somebody has got to step up? cavs will roll

the good people of marshall co. should know that the tigers wil never win a championship with their current coach. he has gone as far with the team as he can.no offense intended, just the truth.

marshall co. may win game after game, but will not win a state championship. Why? Because their coach cant get it done when the heat is on. past records reflect that he has only marginal success against teams with equal or better records. he also cares not about teaching players things such as honor,respect, and being a man of your word. he was famous in moore co for telling a kid he wasn't going to play and then let them play on friday nite. what message does this send to a kid? good luck to the players.

after losing to cornersville, the problem is obvious. turnovers,overlooking the opponent, and attitude.throw out all the veer option and stick to the wing.

one of the bigest things is the talent pool and lack of depth/experience. this happens to all programs from time to time;especially in 1a. moore just has not had very many breaks go their way. price is a good man who is doing just about as good a job as he can. this off season needs to be spent doing some serious evaluating and fixing what is broken. the defense has been fairly consistent;but with a def coor that has an overinflated ego and vanity, it should be better.getting back to and staying with the wing is a big step in the right direction. what happens in the off season will set the tone for the future.

does moore co have a chance of winning the rest of its games?

i really hope that moore co can put up a good showing @gordonsville.doing so would give them a great head of steam heading into the second half of the season. if the defense plays well and the offense can take care of the ball things could be interesting.the weather will also be a factor. good luch coach price and the raiders!

blueboy is obviously someone who knows coach price very well.it is also obvious that blueboy cares nothing about mc football, he only cares about running down the program which needs support. kids read these posts and the negative comments spread among them and kills morale and attitude. you said that price tells people what they want to hear. mac was the worst at not sticking to his decisions. he would tell a starter he was not going to play for breaking a team rule. on fridays, mac would tell that kid he could play. which is more important, winning or sticking to what you say to develope respect? if you think that any coach that replaced mac would follow everything mac set up like warm ups, then you dont know jack about coaching or football or... any new coach is going to install the thing they want, not copy the previous guy. good for price for having the courage to to what he wants.

that is why his teams are only average at best when facing equal or superior teams. look back to when he was at moore co. his own self-centered, self-absorbed, narcissistic way is what will prevent marshall co. from winning the big one.

what has caused so many problems with the moore co. program? the coaches aren't can't be the only problem, can they? are the kids having fun? what's wrong?

the players at moore county should know that a good season is still possible. what they need have to do is come together and play with great intensity. players also need to make it as fun as possible. i have only followed mc football for a few years, but it seems as though there isnt any fun on friday nites. play hard, have fun and listen to coach price.
